1-800 U.S. Search ripoff .. take your money and give you nothing *REBUTTAL
I do not have the address any longer, but they advertise on television. They say "Find a long lost friend or love one for only $39.95".
They get your money and send you the last address on the persons Drivers license, and tell you to start looking there. I sent them the same address as his last known address. They will put you on hold when you call to complain until you give up and hang up the phone.
The person I was looking for was my ex husband, and I gave them his date of birth, social security number, and last known address, also his MCDL# since it is his ss# also. They sent me back his last known address as the number and street+Town and State for me to look under for him.

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Lue Clark Their relationship to the company: Supporter Rebuttal: I have used ussearch.com's services and was completely satisfied. I was searching for my birth mother and knew her married name and last city I had known her to live at(I had located her 15 years ago but hadn't actually contacted her.) I filled out their form, and they said that I'd receive my information within 24 hours. Less than an hour later, they e-mailed me with her current address, addresses of neighbors, her husband's name, daughter's name, and more. I was able to write to her and we finally spoke on the phone for the first time last August. I am so grateful to them. I am sorry that you had a bad experience looking for your ex. One problem with exes is, often they go out of their way to not be found. Companies like 1-800 US Search can only give out information that is available, and if a person is going out of their way to not be found, there is always the chance that 1-800 US Search won't be able to help.
