Western dental is not only extremely bad at the work they do, they are stealing needed tax dollars from the state for low income people, and others who are on regular insurences they are performing a lot of un-needed work. I have visited several locations and it is the same and they are really good at what they do. For instance, they require full exrays done even if its one tooth in question and even if xrays are brought to their office. They also wont transfer records between offices stating its too slow and its faster to retake xrays, including on children. They have a system to keep everyone in the dark too. When it comes to low income customers, they barely do any work and just bleed the system just to charge for exrays and cleaning and that is all. I have seen several people needing just fillings and after doing the exrays tell them they can't do the work, that these people need specialists yet others with other insurence willing to also pay cash with same problems the work they stated they cant do for low income they havae no trouble doing for the high paying customers. They keep this from everyones eyes and ears by meeting each patient in an enclosed room and show them the costs of the work needed. When they see they cant pay the price they want, they give a piece of paper stating they need a specialists. 

When it comes to children, most of the above is the same except as they can make more money from children for some reason, they do peform work, but this work is un-needed. An example here is a child had a tooth needing to be removed, and instead of doing so, tried stating they need to peform a childs root canal. Yet several adults needing root canal they sent packing stating their office doesnt do root canals, yet two adults in that same office paying with creedit card got root canals done that very same day. I also found out that the child they wre going to do this childs root canal on lost the tooth several days later. 

I help assist with disabled patients and do my best to find other places then Western Dental, and as far as the insyrence fraud goes, it goes very far. I was with a patient for a tooth extraction which suprisingly they did, but also charged fees for what they stated wasnt covered. When I went over the paperwork that was mailed from the insurence, it was then I found out how bad the fraud was. Not only have they charged for un-needed serices, they also billed the insurences and were paid as well for what they claimed was not covered meaning they took payments from both sides. It gets better. They charged for services they did not even peform. I even confronted them on this to find out later that the people I brought there were sent notices they need to find someone else. 

Western Dental needs to be shut down. The complaints on this site says it all. People are sent to collection agencies for work never done and the fact that the states are paying for the same work elsewhere is a huge red flag.
