I also have been scammed by Ramada Plaza Resorts.

I receive a package in the mail March of 2004 offering me a travel voucher to purchase a Spectacular Florida/Tropical Caribbean Cruise vacation package.

3 nights of Gold Key Award Winning accommodations in Sun-Kissed South Florida.

Round trip cruise aboard Carnival Cruise Lines or Imperial Majesty Cruise Line Port of call on the beautiful Island of Nassau, Bahamas. Two nights of Gold Key Award Winning accommodations in Magical Orland, Florida 7 Day transportation by Alamo Rent-A-Car during vacation.

Travel package was to promote specific hotels and resorts in Orlando and Ft Lauderdale which is owned by the RPR. In return they required the attendance at a presentation on the sale of independent vacation ownership resorts. Not affiliated with Ramada Vacation Suites.

When I call in March 2004 to get more information about the offer. I asked if I could think about what the gentlemen Kevin Lane ID #5514 had told me and get back to them. Kevin said that if I did not accept the offer at that time and authorize 1/2 of the price of the trip that the offer would be voided.

Just returning from a trip to the West Coast of Florida a few weeks before I was eager to return and visit the East Coast so I accepted the offer.

I received in the mail a few weeks later a video, and more glamorous sounding information about the trip.

At that time I knew that my husband and I could not take advantage of the trip until RPR web site. The hotel and cruise pictures were not quite like the marketing material that I had received in April of 2004 but I thought I paid for this and there was no refund available so I will paid the balance of the package and schedule the trip for May 16, 2005.

On April 23, 2005 I while trying to log on to the RPR web site again I happen to come across the Bad Business Bureau RIP OFF site and became very ill when I began to read reports of people who had also had a week moment and accepted this offer.

Instantly I began to wonder how I can get out of this mess.

April 24, 2005 I attempted to cancel the trip through numerous phone calls to the RPR Customer Service and Reservations center talked to three managers and received no satisfaction. As a matter of fact I did cancel my May 16, 2005 trip and I was told that I owe an additional $200 for canceling the trip. My response that RPR would not get another dime from me and that I would be pursuing the matter further.

I have put together a letter that I will be sending to the president, vice president, and attorney of the company as well as the South East Florida BBB, Florida Attorney General, and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services requesting that I receive a full refund of my money based on the fact that this vacation is in violation of the Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. The violation is that RPR engaged in unfair methods of competition, unfair unconscionable and deceptive trade practices, including, but not limited to travel scams, and false or misleading advertising.

RPR is also in violation of U.S. Postal Service Mail Fraud Laws for sending false and misleading advertising and propaganda via the U.S. Mail.

In addition to receiving a refund I would also like to have RPR run out of business.

I would be willing to participate in a Class Action Law Suite regarding this company and the marketing scam practice
