Quicken Loans ripoff Has not responded on my wanting to STOP and return my good faith money of 350.00 for the appraisal Livonia Michigan
I wrote my contact with Quicken Loans around 7:15 am this morning. I asked that my process be stopped immediately and I would watch for a credit to my credit card or they could simply cut me a check, whichever was easiest. I did not like having to pay the money upfront. I thought that was strange because everyone else just adds it at closing, or several other companies I was talking with said if the appraisal doesn't come in as needed, I could stop then and they would refund my $350.00 for the appraisal.
I feel really sick about this whole thing. I have not heard one word from my contact about any of the things I addressed. I know he is quite upset, but I think I deserve an answer or acknowledgement that they got the letter. He was a fast-talker and I feel I was rushed through the process so that I didn't realize what was going on.
Anyway, maybe they will refund the $350, and if an appraisal isn't done they better or you will be hearing back from me.

Complain to them. Quicken usually gives in when the credit card company calls and tells them they are wrong. NO services provided = NO paying them. Dont let them just HAVE your money. They have enough already. They still have some of their employees money too. They have a track record of figuring out ways to hold onto others money unless they have to give it back. Make them give it back!

Hey Jane, Hate to tell this, but stand in line. The owner DAN GILBERT (NBA TEAM Owner, Worth Billions, World Class Cheap Skate) will not pay 462 ex-loan officers who has worked an avg of 80 hours a week, inc weekends, holiday etc. and if they didn't go along with these forced hours, the Banker would be blackmailed (such as holding ones commission check, false claim that you have recapture fee's which washed away those green bars -overage, or simply just flat out not paying the LO and the company keeps the money, or they will fire them wrongfully) This is also the reason why they "HIRE MORE AND MORE PEOPLE EACH DAY". Your lucky you got wise and decided not to do business with the "Banker" who FAST TAKLED you into giving out your credit card number. This is how the management of that company do things, they push these young unskilled phone JOCKS into high pressure ways of CLOSING(as they say at QL)most of them have just got out of a few weeks training class teaching them how to take PEOPLE like you deposit. ASK YOUR BANKER ABOUT HOW MUCH OVERAGE IS HE CHARGING YOU? ASK IF IT'S A GREEN BAR ON THIS DEAL? GREENBAR = over charging the customer and making extra commission for the company and DAN. This fee is forced by management to make sure every customer is charged as much as possible. ***MAKE SURE YOU ASK YOUR BANKER ABOUT THE GREENBAR AND THE OVERAGE THAT HE/SHE IS CHARGING YOU. Also JANE, they will take a few weeks to return your deposit, most of the time they try to hold on to it for 30 days. This is another forced pratice of their accounting department so that the owners can Collect INTEREST. If you have 1700 hundred collecting deposits off of people credit cards, that's millions in INTEREST - WHEN THE REAL FACT IS THAT A MORTGAGE COMPANY DOSEN'T EVEN HAVE TO PAY FOR THE APPRAISAL UNTIL 30 DAYS AFTER YOU CLOSE. Quicken is making millions in holding peoples money - This is the TRUTH. If they could run me over with a bus, they would do it today - but I'm going to keep on telling the TRUTH until they pay the 462 PEOPLE (the small folks who don't have billions, but have bills)
