Quarles Petroleum spilled heating oil, concealed the spill, promised to clean it up when caught, lied to avoid cost of clean up Fredericksburg Virginia
Quarles Petroleum spilled a load of heating oil at our home. They failed to report the spill, hoping that we wouldn't find out.
After we discovered the spill, Quarles executives came to our home and promised to clean up the mess at no cost to us. Soon, though, Quarles changed its mind and started lying to avoid paying for the damage.
We sued them and won. But they gave false testimony at trial which prevented us from collecting the full amount of our damages. We lost over $100,000 to these liars. They have had several other spills with similar tactics.
I put up a Web page and they threatened to sue me. Then they offered to pay me $15,000 if I would take down the Web page. Take a look at my page http://home.earthlink.net/~caltrop/

You are right quarles petroleum and quarles food stores are the most crooked people out there. Example in point I worked for Quarles Food Stores at Quarles#629 who at the time was managed by Daniel Vest who later became a DM after many firings and butt kissings later. I worked for this company and was promoted to assistant manager and while I had no retail experience other then what I worked there I tried my best, well however later on we get another person in who is older and has a family to support btu she said flat out she wanted nothing more then to be a manager and would not stay as a cashier only for long. Well before I know it I was put on graveyard shift one night and then called into a meeting with this woman, Danny and the 1st shift supervisor and the exact words said to me were" I believe there are alot of problems in the store right now and they are all your fault and you are terminated, I have nothing more to say to you so please leave the store now peacefully". Well within a year of me leaving the entire crew was there at the time of my termination had been fired so obviously the problems werent my fault huh???? When I contacted there corporate office in regards to this which is also the Pertroleum corporate office in Warrenton,VA I was given the run around by everyone there and was told to call back when they had to worry about it. So as you can see I have a inside understanding of how management at this company operates. Also the manager can think what he wants but now I am a driver manager for a trucking company out of maryland and I am making 50,000+ a year so obviously if I couldnt be a good manager then why are my ontime freight rates better then anyone elses here cause I know more then a retail manager making 35,000 a year and having worked in that profession for 20 years. Hmmm guess whose doing better now.
