OTR Leasing is not what it appears. When I first pulled up I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. I quickly found out how wrong I was. They tell you that they have a shop that the send the truck to for DOT inspections and to fix anything you find wrong with the truck before you leave their location. Before purchasing a 2011 Freightliner, I made Matt Muller aware that there seemed to be an air leak and that the clutch felt strange, like it needed adjusting. Matt told me that he would have the shop guys look at it. Well after pulling off the lot and getting to my hotel, because I had to spend the night after they did not get the warranty put in place for the truck the first day, and they did not even admit fault for that, I noticed that there was still an air leak. So I had to turn around ad go back to OTR where they said the shop would fix it.

Once I got to Memphis, the tuck could not pass the DOT inspection with the company because of the air leak ( the same air leak that was supposed to have been fixed 2 times by OTR's shop). The problem was that it needed a new brake chamber which I had to pay for. I contacted Chad Hall and he stated that he would credit the first payment for the brake chamber work. Well finally after getting on the road, my driver stated that the clutch was not acting properly after getting under the first load. So once the truck got back in Memphis, I took the truck to TAG Truck Center and the estimated repair costs will be $3,282.49. I contacted Chad and made him aware and all he says is that the clutch repair cost is on me.

I emailed Chad back and asked if I could be exempt from the extra $200.00 for a maintenance fund for the next four months to help recoup the repair cost. The "maintenance fund" is an extra $200.00 per week that they don't tell you about until they have you hooked with a truck. It's definitely not mentioned from the beginning when you inquire about trucks. Chad informed me he "will discuss and let me know what they come up with". After 2 days I emailed Chad to find out what they came up with and he replied "Discussed. We will not waive the maintenance. Sorry and Thanks." This is bad business, especially since I made Matt aware of every issue I had. Chad says he does not see where I made mention of the clutch, but that's untrue because Matt was made aware of everything. Matt did not address any of the issues I spoke of (air leak, soft clutch). Chad even said that they pay $2000.00 per month for the advantage of having a shop to help them. He stated that the shop does not gain from not finding issues, but they passed the truck with a so-called DOT inspection with an air leak. OTR does not care about their customers at all. All they care about is getting your $5,437.50 after that, customers mean nothing.

In 2 weeks, my truck was in the shop Twice, and all I ask is that they waive the extra 200.00 per week for maintenance fund for 4 months to help recoup some of the cost in repairing the truck before I even get started making money. This request does not seem unreasonable since the extra $200.00 per week is supposed to be my money for maintenance. Well I would say that $3,282.00 is a hefty maintenance issue. So far the customer service from Chad Hall has been careless and less than satisfactory. Surely they can adjust $200.00 of the weekly payment just as he is crediting the account for the brake chamber work. All I'm asking is to waive the extra money being paid weekly for maintenance since I am having to do some real maintenance in order for the truck to keep operating. After all, that's what it's supposed to be for, right? It seems that OTR cares more about collection extra funds calling it "maintenance fund" instead of helping their customers. It's a rip off to sell a truck that can't switch gears properly and will cause a major interruption in my income if it goes down on the road.
