Laban Roomes Goldgenie MISREPRESENTATION TO DEFRAUD THE PURCHASER. London
Goldgenie Global are in breach of contract under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 the goods and services I purchased by credit card are substandard and not fit for the purpose sold to qualify me as a professional gold and metal plater of items including iPhones, iPads, iPods and Roses commercially to the general public. Goldgenie advertised the goods and services sold to me for £2,937.00 as "YOU WILL BECOME A FORMAL GOLDGENIE CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL" "for the private individual looking to set up their own local gold, silver and chrome plating services we have the Goldgenie business opportunity make £60,000+ profit per annum based on nine hours per week" Classed as a Goldgenie certified professional set up with your own company name to trade" THIS IS MISREPRESENTATION TO DEFRAUD THE PURCHASER. Goldgenie has NO intention to make the purchaser a certified qualified professional gold and metal plater to enable them to confidently run a commercially viable business gold plating for the general public, it just wants purchasers to outsource customers to have their iPhones, iPads and iPods and Roses gold-plated by Goldgenie for a 10% commission to give Goldgenie a huge 90% of appox £2,000 per iPhone.
1. The goods supplied by Goldgenie is NOT a professional gold and metal plating kit but a substandard starter hobby kit on general sale to the public online at £119.99p. I have documented evidence of this.
2. The training is NOT professional to make a purchaser qualified to professionally gold- plate personal items including roses and iPhones, iPads and iPods commercially to the general public.
(a) There were NO DVD training manuals supplied AS falsely stated in email of yourself (Marcus/Laban Roomes) The DVD's do NOT exist.
(b) The online training tutorial is appox just over 1 minute long. NOT enough to qualify a person as a professional gold plater to commercially gold plate the general public's items.
© I had to insist on training at your "training centre" in London as your online training tutorial was substandard and totally inadequate for a purchaser to become professionally qualified as a commercial gold and metal plater to the general public.Safety was not followed as the plater had burned and scarred hands from the chemical spills, he said that this is the only downside of making lots of money in cash.
(d) There was NO training centre, it was a tiny back office full of hazardous chemicals in premises you are operating a commercial business from "Goldgenie Global" at 37A Churton Street, SW1V 2LT which is NOT the address you state Goldgenie or Survival Labs operates from Portland House Brassenden Place SW1E 5RS
(e) The "training" was very limited approx a total of three hours as I was only in your premises for a total of 3 and a half hours and it consisted of Willl gold- plating a couple of items we had to bring up and then allowing Jacqueline to have a go for a couple of minutes, this is NOT adequate training to allow a person to commercially gold-plate personal items for the general public and to call myself a"Professional Gold Plater".
(f) I was not given a certificate of qualification recognised in the gold plating industry by "Goldgenie" NOR was I supplied with ANY certificate of qualification by Goldgenie. So how am I certified ?
3. On arrival Frank "operations manager" Director of Survival Labs the holding company which Goldgenie is a trading name of asked me what it was we wanted to learn to gold-plate , I told him my I wanted to specialise in gold-plating iPhones, iPads,iPods and Roses. Frank told us " You will not be learning to do that, leave that to us the professionals we have got a £million plant in which we do that, you just send your customers to us and we we will give you £10 commission as an affiliate. (a) Goldgenie falsely states in its advertising promotional material "You can customise iPhones and iPads and apple products" and also supplies a gold plated rose in the display case . I have documented evidence of this. (b) If I had wanted to become just an affiliate to make Goldgenie £2,000 per iphone and myself £200 instead of becoming a conscientious certified qualified professional gold plater operating my own commercial gold plating business. (i) I would not need to pay almost £3,000 to do this as I could become a PAID affiliate for any company without PAYING the company for the privilege. (ii) I would not have insisted on getting further training than your 1 minute online training tutorial.
4. I have documented evidence of misrepresentation by Goldgenie from other dissatisfied purchasers of your business opportunity and your overseas franchises. it is illegal to send hazardous chemicals without notifying the carrier first which I have found you did NOT Now they are taking money for a GLASS iphone which is impossible to goldplate, and i'm sure they will run off with your money.

It is always a disappointment for any brand to receive a poor review and clearly we are very disappointed to receive this one. Goldgenie have been in business for nearly 20 years and considering the many thousands of products sold we are proud of not only our reputation but also virtually zero legitimate bad reviews, due to our success we do from time to time get attacked by competition and on this case someone who has possibly failed in this business and has chosen to attack us for their failure, please note they have not identified themselves on this platform or for that matter to this company. In this case we have provided a business opportunity as it is clearly labelled on the website and have never made any solid guarantees of success as it always depends on the individual and the effort they put into this or any other business they chose, this whole review seems as if it has been placed due to "buyer's remorse" . The founder of this business which now has shops in Dubai commenced his business with exactly the same machine and no support whatsoever as has been offered to operatives We have no idea who has placed this report as it has been placed anonymously and no attempt has been made by the person posting this review to contact us with any grievance or complaint. In regards to the accusation of not being able to gold plate glass, we are completely aware of this fact and have never stated that we will be plating this but we will be using a similar process as how we customise the Samsung which uses the same material as the iPhone, so this is also a false statement that has been completely made up.
We have always offered unlimited training so this is yet another false statement, the fact is that the whole process of learning to gold plate can take less than an hour, the evidence of the simplicity is that we provide our plating all over the world and it is extremely rare for these operatives to even visit one time as the tutorials which are provided by links to our online videos, phone and e-mail support is more than adequate. Regarding the plating of Apple products, all though the system that we provide can actually gold plate aluminium products we discourage this due to the requirement of being a fully trained mobile technician with vast experience, furthermore, an operative would need to have the necessary equipment to de-anodize with extremely toxic compounds whilst also obtaining commercial polishing equipment this work can only be completed by individuals with required experience, equipment and We have been in business for nearly 20 years and find it offensive to be accused of "running away with your money" as we can in-fact embellish the latest iPhone offerings. As the reviewer has assumed incorrectly that we will use a goldplating technique to embellish the iPhone, the reviewer has grossly underestimated the technology at our disposal and has made several incorrect assumptions, as a point of interest we have been offering the Samsung mobile devices which uses the same glass as the new iPhones In conclusion the reviewer has also incorrectly stated that we have no presence at Portland House which if checked will also be found to be incorrect.

I have been paid compensation by providing all evidence in the courts, Mr Roomes is no Longer allowed to be a director if you check companies house and has been penalised and ordered to pay compensation. Unfortuately no jail term was suggested by the judge.
Be wary of Marcus as this may be a front to scam more people.
