In December 2010 I had a squirrel problem in my attic. I called Kirkwood Pest Control and was told by the owner when I asked what service I would receive that cages would be put in the attic and that an inspection would be done to determine where they were comeing in. If the gap was a small gap it would be plugged if it was a larger hole they would diagnose and I would need a contracter. Removal would be repeated until all squirrels where gone. The cost was quoted as $150.00. One the first trip the agent for the company (not the owner) came to my home told me cost was $175 put two cages right inside attic opening but refused to get up into attic stating it was against company policy. He said I was to call when I heard cage snap. I called company that day and said I was not happy that agent would not go up in attic and tell me where they were comeing in. Owner was very rude on phone, he said he would come out personally when trap snapped and to call back. A few days later I called saying I heard a snap. I was told it would be three more days until someone came out. Again three days later an agent returned, he reached up in the whole and retrieved the cage but again refused to go up into the attic. He said he had to leave and drive 5 miles to dispose of squirrel. I called Owner again and said how would I know how they are coming in if this agent will not go up into my attic - he became very rude and argumentative, was very disrespectful and told me to tell the agent to leave he would return my money.I waited a month and called back to ask why I had not recieve my refund. The owner told me it would take 60 days to get my money back. I called again on Feb 19 2011 stating I had not received my refund. The owner said a partial refund of $75 had been mailed to me three weeks ago. I said I had not received anything and at not time did he say it would be a partial refund. I stated he had told me in exact word "Tell my agent to leave I will send you your money back" He got very unpleasent on the phone and hung up on me. I called back and asked if he had hung up on me he said "Yes I did because you will not listern to reason" I said "that was very unprofessional" and I would call the BBB - he said "would you like the number?" I said no thank you and he hung up again. I am very upset that the job was not done as described, the price changed, I have not received a refund as I was told and the owner has been rude and disrespectful.
