Hello Elaine, As a former realtor I was very saddened to read of your bad experiences due to your agent. One recourse option you have which it sounds like you may not know about is your state's department of real estate licensing. For Washington State, the URL is http://www.wa.gov/dol/bpd/refront.htm It's a very long page but there's a complaint form very near the bottom. You could try filling out the form but since your problem is so urgent I'd suggest calling them. They have the power to revoke realtors' and brokers' licenses (which puts the whole company out of business) and/or, at least in the state I'd worked in, can fine the realtor at fault. Also know that realtors are required to carry Errors & Omissions insurance. Check to see what recourse, if any, you should get through that avenue. Good luck to you and I sincerely hope this information helps.
