Envision 17" Monitor Scam! Fry's Rebate Rip-off gets me twice.
My daughter and I each bought an ENVISION 17" Monitors on October 20, 2001 at Fry's, one for me and one for my daughter, who is away at school. I was notified that they can not send me a rebate because I have a PO Box. I have two problems with this situation. First, I could not read the rebate coupon because the print was so small and because it had been reproduced by Fry's so poorly. I have seen the rebate coupon again at Fry's and it also says that the coupon can not be reproduced.
How can I be held to rules I can not read because Fry's made it illegible. I paid over $150 for the monitor, as did my daughter, but we never would have if we thought that we would never get our money back. I believe that Envision marketed this deal in an area where the likelihood was that they would not have to pay. In Arizona, many people get mail at PO boxes for many reasons; security, an not the least, because there is no home delivery. I believe that is the reason Fry's and Envision marketed the rebate in Arizona. I would like to know the percentage of claims that they have actually paid out. I would also like to know how much of a kick back Fry's gets from these screw deals on their customers.
The sale is over and I believe it was designed that way. So that by the time people start finding out they don't get their rebates, Fry's and Envision have gotten their money and the sale is long over. Boy, are we ever a bunch of suckers for trusting Fry's again, and even more for one of the products they sell. When will we ever learn? Maybe we will finally cease to be tempted by the lower prices based on failed promises.

Hi everybody, I have called many times to get my rebate since I submited Dec.2003 bought from FRYs Electronics at City of Industry in California until now already 5 months for $60 that I have lived in California .I have not recieved my rebate yet.I think this Chinese Co. always rip-off people like I have external CD r/w rom drive for $75 I have never get it.
