BuckMasters LTD Deer In The Headlights! BEWARE OF SCAM!! Montgomery Alabama
My husband entered a contest thru Buckmasters for a free hunt, no purchase necesary. He then started getting phone calls in reference to his "verbal" agreement over the phone to pay $136.90 for a magazine and membership to this establishment. He ignored the phone calls so they started sending letters instead.
We just recently recieved a letter informing us if we did not pay this money they would be turning us over to a collection agency. I personally called them to inquire about this & they told me that they had a recorded conversation of my husband agreeing to this "verbal contract". I asked to hear this phone conversation and "Kendrick" said that he could not let me listen to it but would be able to send it to me via e-mail. I asked him to cancel this membership and my husband said the same thing to him. He said that he could not cancel it since it was already past due. He did offer to downsize the membership?
What a crock! When I told him that I was going to report him to BBB he said that was fine and that they would just forward our bill to the collection agency. Apparently, the BBB does not due anything but take the reports. Some of these cases go back to at least 2005. They have a full fledged scam and have been getting by with it for years with their bully tactics. Please don't take my word for it? Google "buckmasters scam" and read it for yourself.
