I had called on an issue with my skylight leaking, with my refrigerator no longer dispensing water and ice cubes, and with my drain not flowing. I paid the 45-dollar charge, and the person that came to my house told me that my skylight was not covered and that the fridge problem was one that was internal, so it wasn't covered. My drain was then snaked, which helped with flow for a week or so. Was it worth 45 dollars? Maybe.

This last summer, it became hot, as deserts sometimes get, and I went to operate my air conditioning unit. It started making strange noises, and eventually stopped working. I called AHS once again to have them remedy the problem, sure that this time it was an issue that would be covered. I waited for three days in 100 plus degree weather for a technician to answer my call (some here would consider an a/c outage an emergency). I paid my 45 dollars, only to have the tech tell me that there was too much dust in the screen and the motor, which constituted a failure in maintenance and was not covered. Not only had I waited for days for nothing, I had given 45 dollars for no reason, only to be told that I owed more than I would have owed had I simply called an a/c repair shop to begin with.

I ended up eating it and calling a different repair shop. They came out that same day and repaired my a/c unit promptly. They also told me that the a/c unit wasn't improperly maintained because the screen didn't screen all of the air, the fan could suck in dust from everywhere.
