In June of 2008 I had a remanufactured Transmission and a rebuilt Torque converter put in by A+ Transmission Specialists at the S. Kirkwood store. They issued a three year 100,000 mile warranty at that time. Since then and starting six months after the repair was completed the truck has been back in the shop four times. The time before last on September 30th, I was told that my PCM was causing the issue with the transmission and that they would fix it for an additional $800+. They also said that if I didn't have this issue fixed then they would void my warranty. On the advice of another mechanic I took the vehicle to the dealership for a second opinion where I was told that the PCM was fine. I have the paperwork to prove this. I ate the $110 dollar cost of this second opinion. I took the vehicle back to the transmission shop and they said that they found the actual problem and fixed it. I picked it up yesterday and the transmission light came on along with the rough shifting before I even made it home.

Furthermore each time I have had to get it back to the shop at my own expense and have had to be without a vehicle for days at a time each time. Now they are telling me to take it back in, at my own expense again, when I can find a way to have someone bring me home and they will check it out, try to fix it, and get it back to me when they can. When I tried to speak to the owner of this shop I was told he was busy and did not want to talk to me. I cannot continue to be without a vehicle and I cannot continue to eat these additional costs. I would like for this repair shop to arrange to get the vehicle to their shop at their expense for once, to fix the vehicle in question correctly, in a timely manner, and to provide me with a loaner vehicle comparable to my vehicle in the mean time. In an ideal world I would also like to be reimbursed the $110 diagnostic fee I had to pay to prove that they were wrong about the secondary problem with the PCM.
