Complaint Review: Alaa Hattab CANADA Saniton Plastics Corporation True North Sanitizer - Cornwall Ontario

I went to High School with Alaa Hattab so I thought I knew him. It took Alaa very little effort to gain my trust and trick me into believing that he actually does legitimate business. 

I became aware that Alaa arrived back to Ottawa early 2020, after being away for over 10+ years. I was invited to see "his" warehouse located on 50 Slack Road where he had many boxes that contained LED pot light, and things seemed to be going quite well for him. My unfortunate involvement with Alaa came when he contacted me to show me the plastic bottle factory that he opened in Cornwall, 3400 Montreal Road. Alaa proceeded to display the machines and processes of making plastic bottles (Saniton Plastics Corp.) and filling the bottles with sanitizer liquid which is branded under (TrueNorth Sanitizer Inc.)

During my visit to 3400 Montreal Road facility early in 2021, Alaa explained that he brings containers of products from China whenever he needed some extra cash, then selling it in Canada for a good profit. He asked me to join him in purchasing a container of portable basketball nets (Qty 260) as a 50% partner. At first, he promised verbally that my investment of $25,000 CAD will have a return of $50,000 profit at least, and I was to receive $75,000 CAD by Mid July 2021.

I thought it was a good idea since I was purchasing my sister’s house by Mid July 2021; I could use the money for the down payment, and so I signed a document on May 10 2021 (Partnership Agreement). I explained many many times how important this was to my family, and that any delays would jeopardize the house purchase and would put my sister’s family at risk of being sued since she had an offer on another house. Alaa promised and gave me his "Man's Word" that all will be fine, but we soon realized that he has no conscience, ethics, integrity, morality, or principals.    

Alaa would tell me everything is on schedule, and that the container will arrive on time. When I ask for details and offer my assistance in marketing the product, he would tell me that everything is taken care of, and would not share any documents about the purchase, vendors, delivery, buyers, etc. As we got closer to "Pay Day" Alaa explained that he found a buyer for the entire load and that the Pay would be $50,000 and not $75,000.

Alaa claims that Hart Department Stores in Quebec have purchased all the Basketball Nets. I had no choice but to agree, and anticipated the money in order to complete the purchase of my first house. As we got closer to July, Alaa would be in non-stop meetings, and was always too busy to answer my calls and text messages. Finally when I was able to get a hold of Alaa, he gave us a check of $50,000 which later bounced as he had no funds in the account.

Alaa would not answer my calls and messages, and proceeded to block my number, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and I had no means of reaching him. I had family members reach out to him and he promised that in a few days he would gather the funds and pay. It has been almost a year and Alaa gave several dates for payments, but disappeared when the day arrives.

We came across this website and was shocked to see all the victims. I reached out to two people who were involved in Alaa's scams. When one of the people reached out to him, Alaa started sending me threats, I was told it will get messy in writing; I was also threatened with law suits for Defamation and slandering his name as if his name and reputation is not already trash. Alaa also tried to provoke me by mentioning my mother and my sister and had very foul messages and insults in which I will never forgive him for, and will continue to seek justice and pursuit him legally. Alaa was asked to return my money ($25,000) months ago, but he failed to meet the dates that HE gives. I filed a police report with The Ottawa Police Organized Fraud Section, all evidence will be provided to prosecute him. Further legal actions are also taken in which we will conceal at this time, but include Federal, Provincial, and Public Media should we not receive our invested money of $25,000 by March 18, 2022 by 12:00 Noon as agreed with one of Alaa’s/Saniton Plastics internal business partners.
