I found the pitch for Williams Oil Investment on the Angel Investment Network, and decided to invest in the business due to the secureness that an oil investment would provide as opposed to many others. I made a $5000 investment in May 2018, and received a signed certificate from the owner (Daniel Williams) saying that the investment would be paid back with profit by July 18, 2018.
Not long after the initial investment, I received a series of emails that demanded a series of expenses be paid that were never mentioned in either the investment pitch or in discussion with the owner/operator. As Mr. Williams stated that these various expenses were either necessary and/or would cover multiple oil lifts, I complied even though I had to take out loans to cover them all. After paying an expense for a gps tracking system that I was told I would receive via DHL (and never did), I received another email stating that funds were due for one expense that was to be covered for a 5 lift cycle I had already paid, and even stated Mr. Williams' own words that he had previously emailed me assuring there would be no more expenses and that this expense had already been covered. He has not responded to that email quoting his own words, and has not responded to emails requesting a payout as described by his signed certificate of investment.
I have plenty of documentation that would form a strong suit against him in court if it comes to that, but in the mean time, any other investors that come across this pitch/company should stay as far away as possible!

After assuring that funds would be paid, "Mr. Williams" (or whomever his NIgerian scammers pretend to be) have not paid me any funds whatsoever. Their new website is www.internationaloilinvestment.biz
Have no expectation that any of these scammers will ever be caught, but just be forewarned if you think any of their claims are true!

This issue has been resolved! Owner and manager both are very busy individuals who are trying to build a startup business from scratch, so a lack of communication was due to very little time on their part and a major misunderstanding on my end. Anyone looking to make a smart investment and help a company grow should give them a try!

This report was made in a state of anger after not receiving regular updates from the business owner. Since this was posted, the owner and manager have been in contact with me when I have needed them, and the situation has been straightened out. There was a misunderstanding in communication, and I realize that my actions have done much more harm than anything that could have come of posting this. Williams Oil Investment is a new business, and the harm that I have caused them over the past few months from this report has prevented any growth for the success of all parties involved. Growing a business from scratch requires more work than the ordinary 40 hour work week, and my assumption of anything otherwise was a large oversight on my own behalf!
