I've worked for the White Hen Pantry in Richton Park, IL since my mother, Diane LaBrec, has owned it. Which has been about five years now. Lets try and sift through this pile of manure an ex-employee calls a grievance. First matter, security on the midnight shift. We have six cameras that cover the entire store, two Link 2 Life devices(security company that calls the local police station 15 sec. after button is pushed) under each register, and a working telephone near the registers. So out of five years we have gotten robbed once. No one was hurt and it was three years ago. Next, we have the issue of her dismissal from her duties at our store. The grievant swears in this report it was her refusal to make a sandwhich for a customer. Flat out lie, she was fired for sitting on her can for six of the eight hour shift. With this supposed pocket recorder tape and alleged falsified report to unemployemnet why then has she not taken Diane to court.I will tell you why, its total horseshit. We have video tapes of her sitting on her a*s all night, having her friends come in, and also giving away merchandise to her friends. Also, when you tell unempoyment you have video evidence of a employee breaking her employee statement form(which by the way she signed) then they deny immediately. So why has she not pursued legal action against Diane a year after posting this? Because she has no proof and in our legal system we hold all the f**king cards. So if you gander at this you might wanna get a lawyer cause now we can sue your a*s for defamation of character. Bye til then!

Yes it is true this person was the model employee when she worked for me before she had her baby. When she came back and worked a different shift, things were not the same. I will not go into detail, but I will say I have many credible witnesses. I have managed White Hen Pantry stores for 17 years, have never wronfully terminated an employee, or had any employee qualify for unemployment. This record alone should say enough. As far as the man with the sandwich issue, that was not the reason she was let go, or the fact that friends were hanging out in the store. Also, the police do frequent the store, especially overnight. Any one of my employees, past and present can verify that. I never have staffed my store according to race. I have every schedule from the day I franchised, and there are just as many white employees that have worked the overnight shift as black employees. The same is true as far as being male/female. I might add my two sons worked the overnight shift for a long time. Would I really put my own children in such danger if there were no security? There is and always has been a telephone on the front counter. It is true this person was terminated after she came back from a weekend off, over the weekend , I was still getting information on what was going on during the night shift. I made the decision to terminate her when she got back, can't help another employee phoned her first. As a store owner, I would never risk falsifying any reports to a state agency. The 95% of my customers being african american is incorrect, the figure is more closer to 80%. Did this person mention I had a baby shower for her at my store?
