Several years ago I and 2 teenagers stopped at the local 7 Eleven off of Beach Blvd and the 22 Frwy, near the Wal-Mart at approximately 5:00 p.m.

I noticed 4 Hispanics loitering in front of the 7 Eleven and another one working on their 90 green Ford Thunderbird.

Upon approaching the 7 Eleven, one Hispanic with a shaved head began to make faces behind me. His other friends broke out in laughter and I became really concerned because I was a hell of a lot bigger than that individual and I clearly got the impression that they were looking for trouble.

Once I got inside the 7 Eleven I told the clerk and I stated to him that his customers were giving me a hard time. He was apologetic and neglected to intervene.

The Hispanic with the shaved head appeared from the corner of the store and began to call me out with his hand; of course I did not go.

My cell phone was useless to get through to the CHP 911 so, I repeatedly demanded that he call 911 and he just dragged his feet.

I became really concerned that if those idiots outside all decided to start a fight in the store, it would really be unsafe for there was limited space and only one exit.

Being responsible for 2 minors also, I was left with no choice, but to make a dash for our truck. We were immediately followed and they began to harass the kids.

I had made it all the way to my trucks door and noticing that my friends were minors, they focused only on me. They were inches from me now and one of them was holding my door.

I had a small pepper spray bottle in the door and as soon as one of them touched me I decided to use it. The Hispanic with the shaved head got a shot in both eyes and he backed up and turned around, his other friend next to him quickly attacked only to get a shot in the face and he went down hard.

The Hispanic with the shaved head was quickly back and then all of them jumped on me at the same time, with one specifically going for my legs as it was pre-planned.

Of course all five got me on the ground and began to kick me in the head, face, ribs, shoulder, the other one was jumping on my ankles for about 45 seconds. The only way I got them to stop beating me, which saved my life was to yell, "You're beating an undercover officer."

They all scattered except for the Hispanic with the shaved head. He kept on beating me, while he also tried to steal my wallet. Even with my arm torn out of my socket I fought the b*****d back.

The paramedics and WPD came as well. As I lay behind the ambulance being ready for transport I heard a WPD officer say to the driver of the ambulance, "He's kind of a p***k, if he gets out of line just hit him in the head with your clip board."

He didn't stop there, the WPD officer continued to state they were trying to get a restraining order for me not to come to their station any longer. Wow, if an individual is repeatedly coming down to the Police Station asking for help and there is no means of helping him, most likely something terrible will happen to him and/or others in the community.

This is some of the type of profound arrogance and unprofessional conduct that only very few WPD officers retained that had caused me to get into major pissing contest with LT.'s and Captains.

A Police Department is there for people who need help in any shape or form. One part of the job description of an officer is to help people or if they cannot, provide them with a direction of resolving that problem/issue.

Having 5 people gang up and beat a man near death is (ADW) Assault With a Deadly Weapon. One very nice police officer stated to me at the hospital, "Hey I have a gun and if 5 people jump me at the same time, I don't think I would come out looking any better than you do."

I asked WPD for specif photos of the crime scene and they responded, "Well I see it logged here, but I can't seem to find it"

This crime that was captured on video has shamefully never been solved.

Do on to others as you wish done on to you, that goes for everybody.

I had something similar happen to me a few years ago. I had 3 black guys approach me because I had a nice car (hyundai tiburon). One of them asked me for the keys. I said you gotta be kidding me. They said that they never had a nice car like that and I should be nice and give it to them. I said no, and one of them got real forceful. I told them to F- off. When they started making threatening and obscene at me I grabbed my 44 semi from under the seat. I called them trouble making n*g-ers and they need to go back to wherever they came from with the gun pointed at their faces the whole time. When one of them kicked out the tail light, I shot him. The other 2 acted like they were going to pull something out and they lunged at me. I shot each of the 2. One of them critical. This was in the walmart parking lot, and those lying creeps tried to say I tried to rob them. Too bad they ended up on tape. See, I know they were unarmed, but they were bigger than me and obviously looking for trouble. FOrtunately for me I got out of that one without a single scratch. The DAS office didn't even prosecute me because I did have an unregistered pistol. I didn't have a permit for it. One of my friends vouched for me and said it was his and that I was just borrowing it. When the investigators saw the tape they instantly said I was defending myself. Plus 2 of them had warrants out. From what I hear one of them lost use of their right arm, I am glad I didn't kill them because I did pop off a couple rounds into each. THank god for our founding fathers giving the right for us to bear arms. If you had a gun Jim, none of that would have happened. You should have shot those scumbags several times just for menacing you like that. Being able to get in their face when they are writing on the ground makes them look real tough huh. The really messed up thing is the family of one of the "victims" (I thought I WAS the victim!) tried to sue me. But due to the limited funds they had, they didn't get far. I hope the next time you will carry some added protection because pepper spray isn't enough especially against a group of thugs. Believe me, a gun can change their attitudes, maybe that way they will think twice about messing with someone. If they loose their lives in the process, that is no bodys fault but their own.
