I've been extremely afraid of dentist for, I don't even remember how long, so when I finally got around to going back the teeth that I had left were in very bad shape...I was told that I would need my teeth extracted then bone graphs put in (due to my bones deteriorating over the years) to hold the dentures in place. I was told that all that I need to have done (except the bone graphs and laughing gas) would basically be covered by my insurance. I was told that I could get on line to apply for a payment plan because the stuff that wasn't covered on my insurance would have to be payed in cash. So I looked but there wasn't really anything I could be approved for as far as for making payments except to just pay first then get it done, basically like a lay away plan. So I was just gonna pay for the laughing gas cause that's all I could afford and just have them do the extractions and dentures for me because that was covered by my insurance....

So the day I had the procedure done I had the money in hand for the laughing gas and add I payed they went ahead and set my up on a payment plan so I could get the bone graphs put in. Now when they were finished the explained what I had to do over the next couple of weeks no rinsing no smoking keep dentures on the first 2 weeks or so. Eat soft foods and gradually (when I feel I can) start eating hard foods. So I followed all the guidelines they informed me of and even read the discharge instructions. But for some reason I don't feel the bone graphs and my mouth still has not healed. My sutures all feel out and and I have holes in my gums. I'm constantly having to rinse right away so I don't get an infection. Not only that I had told the doctor I grind my teeth clench my jaw real bad in my sleep. So I assumed they would've have given or even prescribed for me a mouth guard but they didn't. The good news to this is that I never sign the arbitration paper due to the fact that I'm entrusting a dentist who knows what and how their doing and that their gonna do a good job. But I feel in my gut that something is wrong. Both myself and my stepdad are wanting to file a lawsuit against them but I honestly don't know how to go about it. So hopefully someone who reads this can possibly help me and my stepfather.
