At the time I setup my account with Wells Fargo Finance, April 21, 2006, 9:49AM, I was advised by the Wells Farg representative that they did not currently offer Direct Billing/Payment but that I could authorize my bank to pay them...which I did with AmSouth Bank, using the next business day as payment date.

As my wife and I travel 5-6 months every year by RV, we receive no ground mail while on the road. I, therefore, have all my bills paid automatically by Direct Pay, auto Check, EFT or by VISA. I monitor these payments monthly using my laptop computer to assure that all are being properly paid.

Upon returning home after six months and reviewing my mail, I discovered that Well Fargo had been charging me with a $35 Late Fee each months for Six consequtive months ($210)...as each payment had been received 2-4 days after the due date that they had advised me of by mail.

I immediately contacted Well Fargo, set up a new payment to coincide with their established due date and explained the above reason for the "Late" payments. However, after numerous calls , several letters of explaination and FAX's, they maintain their "canned" response..."we advised you by mail of the late payments and the correct due date and therefore cannot (will not) forgive the Late Payment Fees."

This has been going on since October 2006 and recently they have begun calling me nearly every day (Even Sundays and Holidays)...to the point of "Harassment".
