They called saying many many people had money taken out of a particular banking organization a couple months ago and they verify some of your information and say money will be back in your acct in 20 minutes.

They are a consumer credit company and are liasons returning the money an insurance company took with out notice, and giving you fraud protection-at no cost to you-. They have you verify limited information to "make sure it is you" and the more questions you ask the pushier they become- but they still seem legit.

They transfer you to a person that records you and tells you to say yes or ok to the money you will be credited and the other information-reverifing. They give you a fake 1800 number that says to enter a code.

Two days later the exact money that was "taken" (but later found out-my acct was fine that month) from you a couple months ago DOESN'T get credited but TAKEN OUT of your acct. and the bank may not reinburse you

They work very hard to make this look legit to you and all bankers involved
