1.What the school told you or failed to tell you.

The school failed to tell me that if I enrolled that the most of the credits earned would not translate into continued education for my bachelors. Instead, I during my inquiry I was told

that Human Services Associates would transfer into credits towards a BA  in social work, and that it was the same as social work. This was completely false. While researching schools to earn my BA and then go onto a Masters I was told over and over that my credits from UOP were invalid and would have to take what appeared to be the same classes over, because UOP did not use either the appropriate materials, or without saying so that UOP’s education was lacking in quality.

Of course, I made it very clear in my initial session that my goal was to become a social worker, which I would have accomplished by now, had the counselor not lied to me.

I also submitted my Associates degree while searching for several jobs and didn’t understand until much later, that word seemed to be out that UOP graduates education was substandard.

I do not comprehend why financial aid to UOP was ever authorized even while they were aware of many people being so mislead.

I, like most people would expect with the Dept. of Education and Federal Student loan would be more cautionary with their name attached, and funding. With names and of Fed Loan services (was Great Lakes at the time I attended) and Dept. of Education attached to University of Phoenix, it does give the appearance that they use legitimate and honest recruiting practices, this is not the case. One would expect better from federal agencies.

2  I made it clear what my goal was and this degree did not help in any form or fashion towards that goal of becoming a social worker. I was told Human Services was the same as social work just a different name. The credits and degree I earned has not only disabled my financial ability to move onto a bachelors and masters, it has not done anything to enhance my ability for earning potential. I wouldn’t care if I didn’t have that piece of expensive paper.  The credits mean nothing to other schools when they evaluate my credits

3  There is no way realistically that I will ever be able to pay this loan back, I was only able to pay the interest for a year, and now I'm not even able to do that. I had to use my credit card to pay my bills and now have 6,000 in credit card debt.

4  I know I was mislead, as explained in question 2) useless credits, as told to me by numerous schools when I had a transcript evaluations conducted.

5  Once I was rushed through the sign up process, there was little support. I think the last name of the person was the same as mine Walker, but I know she no longer works there, as I’d attempted contact before graduating.

I can only say it was the Gardena campus.
