On December 3, 2018,  I purchased a puppy from the Kenney adult children, son and daughter. I found the puppy listed on Craigslist as a mini-labradoodle. I was told he would not grow to over 15 pounds based on the size of the mother and father. Despite their ad running in Orange County they ask that I meet them in Ontario outside the Target ( East 4th Street, Ontario). This was for their safety they said.  They changed the time on me and I had to wait. I imagine they were watching to see if I had police, was a prior purchaser, or had protection. They actually were very convincing as concerned 'breeders'.

The puppy was red in color and was groomed to look just like a labradoodle.  The puppy was alittle too young to be placed because it could barely handle wet puppy food and had diarrhea.   Because of the diarrhea, I had to wash him a few times to clean him up. I discovered he was dyed and his fur quickly faded from red to tan. As his fur grew in,  it was solid white everywhere. I ask the vet about this and she recommended I get a DNA test to confirm his breed. I used EmbarkVet DNA test and discovered my puppy WAS NOT a labradoodle. He is 54% poodle, 22% Bichon, and 24% mutt-maybe 5% cocker spaniel. Absolutely no 'lab' per the genetic tester at EmbarkVet. My puppy also had a bacterial infection which I had to treat. If I wanted a bichon-poodle or poodle mix I could have found one at my local animal shelter. There are so many white poodles in shelters. I have a chronic health condition and wanted a labradoodle because I felt he would be trainable and quieter than some other poodle mixes.  I am furious these people are exploiting pet owners and animals. It's pathetic to dye fur on a dog to trick people. Apparently, the mother has dyed the fur of horses to sell them and was convicted for this & served time.

The Kenney family have been scamming people for a long time and have only had their dogs removed once by the San Bernadino Humane Society. In spite of this they are still breeding dogs. The father is a convicted felon too. The children are both 18 or older and are participating in fraud of the sale of puppies.

A Wife on the Basketball Wives, Evelyn Lozada, purchased 2 maltipoos on the same weekend as me. The dye came out of her puppies fur too. I hope everyone who reads this,  sends their story to the publicist of Evelyn Lozada.  My dog looks just like her puppies.

The FBI got involved when the Kenneys were selling horses. Puppies aren't big ticket items like horses but over time I think it's possible this family is making 16k cash per month and it's been going on for at least a year or two.  As well the father has listed his profession as pastor of a ministry on Linkin and once registered with the State.  I'm JUST SPECULATING but you can run money obtained fraudulently through a non-taxable entity like a church or charity, to clean the money. Speculating again but personal expenses can be run through a non-taxable entity. The mother is obligated to repay claimants in the horse fraud case but if their is no personal income for her, then no one receives reimbursement. But she could have income from puppies sales that flow into a church, ministry, etc. and all her personal expenses could be paid by this non-taxable entity. It's hard to pay everything with cash these days so somewhere there is a bank account.  I hope someone in law enforcement is a dog lover.

After 4 years I finally have some closure on this! March 15, 2015 we bought a puppy from Ray Kenney and his daughter in a parking lot in a Corona Starbucks. After speaking to Mr Kenney in the telephone we agreed to meet them in Corona since he told me they lived in Apple Valley. We found the puppy in an Orange County Craigslist ad.

The puppies were described as 10 week old Mini Goldendoodle. We had requested a female puppy and agreed to meet. When we arrived at the Starbucks his daughter , carrying the puppy, approached us and said that they were sorry but her dad had accidentally just given our female puppy to another family like 10 minutes before and that when they called the person back to explain they refused to return.

We agreed to take the tiny male puppy . The tiny puppy was drenched in the smell of the daughters perfume. She was a teenager probably about 16 but dressed much older with a lot of jewelry and fake acrylic LONG nails .Ray was dressed in what I recognized to be a very expensive dress shirt. We paid $800 cash took our puppy home.

He was a little listless at first but we thought maybe just because he missed his mama. I took him to the vet the next day for a check up our vet told me that he was only about 5 weeks old. He didn’t even have teeth! Within 2 days he had diarrhea and was not eating. I took him back to the vet and she ran a oarvo test. It was positive! He underwent extensive treatment for a few days.

We were one of the lucky families. He survived. The next week I placed my own ad on Craigslist WARNING PEOPLE ABOUT THIS CRIMINAL FAMILY. I actually received a few responses from other affected families . I hope my ad helped a few people. My ad was removed and reported to Craigslist. I put it back up a handful of times. I hope these criminal abusers of animals get what they deserve.
