Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I no longer working for TransAm Trucking. I had nothing but problems there. To start with: They did not ever pay me. After the first week, they said, you have to wait till next week for your first

check. I can understand that, so I didn't worry about it. I was making .84 cents a mile. plus .40 cents a mile for fuel. The truck got about 6 miles a gallon avg. I was also leasing a truck, because

you get a lot more money if you lease. Driving a company truck, you only get .30 cents a mile. Anyway, on the second week I was completely broke, I was also broke on the first week, on both

weeks, I took a $50 cash advance from the company, which I had to pay back.

After I drove over 3,000 miles at .84 Cents a mile, it should have equaled about: $2,500, minus my expenses for fuel, lease, maintnence account, etc. But all they gave me was $187!

I politely asked them about it at first, thinking it was just a small mistake and it will be easy to fix. They said, "I'm sorry, but that is all we owe you." I'm not the only one who got screwed on pay

by them, a lot of other people got ripped of by them to! While you're there, check out the complaint I submitted about that company. Finally, when I exercised my First Ammendment right to

free speech and told some new people they were smart for not leasing, the manager that was in the room didn't like that comment.

I just made the coment as a joke. I know the joke wasn't funny, but oh well. Now that manager took me into an office with the leasing department. They wouldn't even listen to my

side of the story, but they said, "Since you're talking s**t about leasing, you have to turn in your lease, clean out your truck and you have two hrs to get off the property." Oh well, I didn't like

being away from FL anyway. I enjoyed seeing the country, but the company is based in Olathe, KS and Rockwall, TX. I had to go to KS a lot and I was never in FL. Take my advice and don't work

for this company!!! Now that I am back in FL, I am back at my old job, doing Security for now. I am trying to get a better job though, Maybe at the post office (I already know how to shoot a

gun, what more do you need to know to work at the post offic? LOL! JK!) I am also going to lookinto Medical Assisting and other driving jobs for smaller, local companies. but I am not going to

go back over the road again. This makes two truck driving companies that have done me wrong. The other one was US Express Trucking company. They are even worse than TransAm!

You would have received a settlement sheet which detailed all the deductions. Did you even bother to READ it? As a FLEASE operator, ALL the expenses including truck payment are on you. Just because your CPM is higher than a company driver, this does not mean your NET PROFIT will be higher than a company driver's paycheck.

Are you aware of ALL the tax burden which is upon you as a FLEASE driver? Finally, what is very typical in your report is the same old truck driver whining about constitutional rights. Grow up and learn what you're talking about when it comes of constitutional rights instead of whining about that when you don't get your own way!
