Tralee Telephone, USBI rip-off and fraud! Blue Bell Pennsylvania
Fraudulent charges from USBI/Tralee Telephone Co for "Universal Service Fnd" for $1.24 and "Savings PlusMthly Fee" for $13.90 dated 09/02/2004 appeared on my 09/20/2004 Qwest bill. I never requested or authorized any such service. I reported to Qwest fraud unit and they cancelled charges but said I must call USBI to cancel service and future monthly charges. USBI rep Kevin said he would cancel service. I looked on web for Tralee and found this Rip-Off report site listing numerous identical complaints.
Apparently Tralee is an internet based scam company that somehow tricks web users into getting their phone numbers and then bills them for their unrequested, useless service via USBI figuring many people will pay it as part of their local phone bill without realizing it. This fraudulent abuse by USBI and Tralee is costing hundreds and maybe thousands of telephone customers lots of money and time. They need to be shut down. If this happens to you, please submit on-line complaints to both the FCC and to your state public utilities commission as I have done. Just do a search on "FCC complaints".
