Hello, i had send my trac (not so smart) phone to tracphone in Miami, Fl to either be repaired of replace. This was back on February 19, I sent the same letter on March 28, again on April 18 and July 10. I never heard from them. I have attached the letter that I sent to them. Can you help me?

Customer Service,

I enclosed a tracfone that I bought at Best Buy a few months ago. When I purchased it I had the technician transfer all of the information from my old phone to the phone I enclosed. Because I was not familiar using the phone I asked the technician to take all of the information off the phone because I was going to give it to a friend. However, I decided to keep the phone but with a new number. I was told I needed a new sim card, so I bought one.

I called Tracfone and spoke with a person with not so good English trying to explain to me what to do. First of all I am an 80 year old disabled veteran with a severe hearing loss. I could not understand what the person was saying. I was on the phone with that person for one hour and two minutes. I hung up totally exhausted.

I went back to Best Buy to ask them for help. I was told that I had to call Tracfone, which I did. I finally got a person who told me my phone was active and that I had over 500 minutes on it, good until May 2018. I tried to make a call but a woman answered from tracfone saying, “Your call is transferred to an external operator and to use your credit card or air card to add minutes.” What? I have over 500 minutes on the phone. But like an old fool I did use my card. Again.

I tried to make a call got same message. Something is not right. Another person told me to turn off the phone for a short time and then turn it on again. When I turned it on a message showed up stating it would take 5 minutes of more to active the phone. After about 15 minutes another message showed up stating that the phone could not be activated and to move to another location to get a better signal. I did this many times and still got the same message. Again.

I went to Best buy to talk to the Pros (???) there. One of them suggested that maybe the phone had to be reprogrammed, (whatever). Another suggested I send the phone back to you to repair or to replace it. NOTE: You don’t want me showing up at your door, Jack. Ben Lucciola, An 80 year old disabled Veteran who don’t give a s***
