Sleepy's, the national mattress retailer, uses highly deceptive and misleading tactics to trick their trusting customers into buying their grossly overpriced mattresses and related products. Note that on the Yelp review page for their Broadway, NYC store, 14 of the 29 reviewers rated Sleepy's just one star! As you probably know, it is much harder to post fake reviews on Yelp than at most other review sites, so Sleepy's nearly 50% customer dissatisfaction rating is scientifically valid. Sleepy's sells mattresses with unique model numbers, so their so-called lowest price guarantee is worthless and purely smoke and mirrors. Competitors often sell the identical mattresses with different model numbers for far less, sometimes less than half as much. I ordered a mattress from Sleepy's that was supposed to be delivered in "a few days" but ended up taking seven MONTHS! The invoice that I signed forbade me from cancelling the sale, so I had to endure the painfully long, tedious wait. When my mattress was FINALLY delivered, it was lumpy and had holes in it, but Sleepy's refused to accept it back and issue a refund. Sleepy's would also not honor their alleged price guarantee when I asked them to match a MUCH lower competitior's price for the IDENTICAL mattress because the model numbers were different - even though they were obviously the same model per se. Sleepy's salesmen will say and do anything to make a sale because they want to make their huge commission. I have documentation and other evidence to prove all contentions made in this review. Save yourself a gargantuan amount of aggravation and frustration by dealing with ANY mattress firm besides Sleepy's. The aforementioned 50% customer dissatisfaction rating for Sleepy's says it all.
