The average time for an appliance repair is 8-10 days. Washers and dryers do not have priority - this is reserved for refrigeration, the loss of which is more critical. You could have purchased this at Lowes or Home Depot and run into the same situation, even with a service contract. All depends on what area of the country you are in and how many servicers are around.
Fisher/Paykel had a two-year manufacturers warranty for quite a while. What three years did you purchase? From date of purchase? After? If still under mfr warranty, you could have called any other authorized service center - check online.
Is it that bad to use a laundromat once or twice?

I didn't want to believe you made this up so I looked again more carefully..I found this under "repair"....
*Offer only valid with appointments scheduled online.
Appointment must be scheduled by 12:00 p.m. to qualify for same day service. Next day service available for appointments scheduled after 12:00 p.m. Appointments are not available in all markets and on Sundays, holidays or outside of regular business hours. Some services may be performed by Sears-authorized independent contractors. Offer available for in-home appointments only carry-in and drop off repairs excluded from this offer.
If you are included in the market where this is offered, Sears is not making good on what they are promoting online.
Now where you may be misunderstanding..is that this same day service offer has nothing to do with anything promised or written in the terms of your protection plan.
This is what is on the Sears page for repairs also...
You landed at the right place Sears Blue Service Crew can repair virtually any major appliance, no matter where you bought it.
It is a service they offer to anyone regardless of where you purchased the major appliance, it is not a commitment they will always do this because you have the protection plan. The protection plan only states what is covered and for how long. At least as far as I could find.

I understand you are upset. If my dryer went out it would certainly be an inconvenience. And no..I do not work for Sears. I don't even shop there often, maybe twice in my life to buy a hammer or similar.
But I read your report and it says to go to the sears website which I did..then I read through the protection agreements found here...

I can not find anything that promises same or next day service for a dryer.
Also, I can not find anywhere on their website where they state "the customer is always right". Whomever coined that phrase either never worked in retail..or it was used to imply the business gives a darn about anything but making a profit. Not always the case...usually not. The customer actually needs to be right to be right, and to be able to back it up.. which is not "always" the case...but sometimes the case. Would "the customer is always right" defense stand up in small claims or any court? I have a feeling most complaints of "bad customer service" is that the customer is upset because the CSR simply told them the truth which customer did not like to hear.
If you can post on this report where it states on the website that they will always service your dryer the same or next day for the life of the agreement, I will then agree that in this case Sears is wrong and the customer is right. I just can not find where it says this.
