Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We were first contacted by Royal Star Benefits in late September/early October. We were told that they were offering a credit card with a $2000 credit limit with no interest and you pay them $249 in order for them not to do a credit check.

We were unable to purchase the card at the moment so we took their phone number and called them back about a week later. We signed up for their program, again asking all the information. We were told that 16% of the balance is due every month (was even approved by the Supervisor), that it was a Mastercard with a $2000 credit limit and could be used to pull out cash at any Mastercard ATM location.

We signed up for the program and let them know that we needed the credit card by October 21st in order for us to use it moving. We were guaranteed that the card would be to us by the 21st of October, if not sooner.

We called them again on approximately the 16th of October because the $249 had not come out of our account yet and we were getting worried that it would not be to us in time for us to move, so we spoke to one of the customer service representatives and they assured us that it would be to us by the 21st, along with a Supervisor also ensuring us that it would arrive in time. The $249 came out of our account on the 18th of October.

The 21st came and went, with no credit card and we moved from Wichita Falls, TX to Casa Grande, AZ (temporarily). In late October/Early November, I contacted Royal Star Benefits to let them know that we never received the card, and to mail us out another to the location that we were currently at. They said it would be in the mail the next day and would get to us in a couple of weeks.

By late November it still hadn't arrived so I contacted Customer Service again and was told that it should be to us by the 4th at the very latest and that they had had a delay in their shipping. It did not arrive to us on the 4th, nor the 5th.

My husband called again on the 5th and asked why we had not received it yet and in contacting their company, due to us previously misplacing their number, we called their referral company who told us that they had since gone out of business. I again asked the Representative if they had gone out of business and she said they were no longer doing business with Royal Star and gave me their phone number. My husband called the Referral company again, to make sure that what I had heard was correct and the Representative gave us the phone number to the Federal Trade Commission and the phone number for Royal Star.

We contacted Royal Star the next day, asked why our card had not gotten to us even after we had been told it would be to us on the 4th at the very latest. The Representative told us that it showed that it would arrive to us in BOLD by the 9th. My husband also asked if the card had not arrived on the 9th, if we would be able to cancel. They informed us that their were "NO REFUNDS". We let it go at that and waited.

We received our "package" on the 9th. My husband drove out 2 hours to pick up our "package" that only contained papers concerning an application for a Stored Credit Mastercard and another for a Fast Loan, Subsequent loan, and line of credit advance Request, an advertisement for a cellphone and an offer for a Computer, along with a few othe unncessary advertisement. The most expensive pieces of paper I've ever paid for.

My husband called the next day and confronted them about the rip off. The Customer Service Representative gave BS answers to our questions. Said their was nothing they could do. My husband asked 4 times how their representatives misrepresent their company so badly and for each time he asked the representative tried to change the subject. Eventually, the representative said that she would look into it and let us know if they find anything.

It is also necessary to mention, they do not plan on letting us know, they do not have our current phone number, only the number they have on file that they first used to contact us. They also know that that is the case since we had to change our address with them. Also, every time that we had contacted them about it getting to us in time for us to move, we refferred it is as "the card". No one said it was "an application". This company is a complete scam in which I am very determined to end.
