I bought a above ground pool $3568.00 back 0n July 30, 2005. It is now Sept. 14,2005 and my pool is still not right.

It was not setup when it was suppose to be, and then it had a leak on the skimmer. It cost me almost $300.00 to fill it. I had to call them for 2 weeks before they came out to fix it.

Needless to say, they didn't fix it. They made it worst. It just needed a gasket under the skimmer, but they broke the skimmer and left it without ever telling me.

It took alot more calls & the threat of my attorney to get them back out here and I had to drain the pool for them to put a new skimmer on it. (another $300.00 to refill the pool). Gues what? It still leaks. Not only the shimmer but the water return hose leaks now.

I've been trying for over 3 weeks to get them back out here to fix this problem. They finally came today but, whatever they did, didn't fix it, it's worst now than it was.

Don't forget I also had to replace all the chemicals when I refilled the pool. They havn't offered to reinverse me for any of the cost.

I've made a complaint with the BBB of Ga. against them and they had 4 weeks to work somethin out with me. I havn't heard a word from them and there time is almost up.

Rec Warehouse uses Proline Installtions out of Stockbridge, Ga. I don't think they know what they're doing. If anyone is lookin to buy a pool, I wouldn't by from Rec Warehouse in McDonough, Ga. and if you buy anywhere else, make sure the installer is not Proline Installation out of Stockbridge, GA.

I hope this will help anyone out there thinking about buy a pool from this Co. You will be sorry if you do. This is just my opinion.

First, let me state that Rec does indeed sell above ground pools which exceed $300 to fill. I have a 33' round, 52" deep above ground. Water bill to fill (water only, no sewer charges) was $430. I am also having serious issues, with what is supposed to be a top of the line setup. Note, this is only 2 years old. 1. I paid extra to have this hard plumbed. The valves used are junk! They are supposed to be able to hand tighten/loosen, but lock up. I have had 2 break and then you have water pouring out like a river. I purchased superior valves on my own from Lowes. Problem now is that the main drain valve now leaks. There's no way to replace it without draining the entire pool. 2. I have a serious leak and no one has found it. I WILL call Jake, but my main concern now is that it is either leaking because of faulty main drain installation, or liner leaking around main drains. Understand, appears I'm losing as much as 3/4" per day. Some said evaporation, due to size. Wait! I didn't lose.all that last year, and now the winter cover is on and water level still drops. 3. And earlier, a cheap paper style gasket was used at the return in the wall. It leaked badly after a year and a half. Jake's crew came and fixed it with a quality rubber style, but I had to drain the pool below that point, ($$$$ to refill) plus charged $75 for service call and 5 mins of work.

I too have bought an above ground pool from them and they do NOT finish their work and the work they do is very sloppy and very unprofessional.

Not a rip off

This is not a rip off because: 1. If you have a problem with proline dont you think you should call them and not rec warehouse? 2. Rec Warehouse does not sell a pool large enough to create a $300 water bill. tell you kids to turn off the sink when they brush. 3. Rec Warehouse has given chemicals to unique customers who have had similar problems. 4. Yee Haw... 5. "GUES what? It still leaks. Not only the SHIMMER but the water return hose leaks now." "They havn't offered to REINVERSE me for any of the cost." "I hope this will help anyone out there thinking about BUY a pool from this Co" Who are you going to trust? 6. Call Proline Installations @ 404-729-4069 and Jake will do you right. I Mean Honestly...
