I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER A YEAR FOR REC WAREHOUSE TO REPLACE OR REPAIR MY POOL LINER, EACH TIME ME OR MY HUSBAND VISITS THEIR OFFICE IT'S A NEW EXCUSE. I'VE ONLY HAD MY POOL 2 YEARS,I'VE ONLY ENJOYED IT 1 SUMMER BEFORE IT STARTED LEAKING, AND I'M STILL PAYING NOTES ON IT THROUGH A LOAN COMPANY. IF THEY HAD OF RESPONDED TO MY FIRST PHONE CALL (OVER A YEAR AGO) AND NOT WAITED 6-8 MONTHS TO COME OUT AND SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, WE WOULD'NT HAVE THIS MESS.

I HAD REPORTED THEM TO BBB LATE LAST YEAR, ONCE BBB CONTACTED THEM THEY SENT OUT THEIR POOL INSTALLER(6-8MONTHS AFTER THE FIRST PHONE CALL). HE WAS TOO AFRAID TO GET IN THE POOL BECAUSE MORE THAN 3/4 OF THE WATER HAD LEAKED OUT AND THE REST HAD TURNED GREEN/BLACK.SO HE COULD'NT DETERMINE MY PROBLEM.

THEY CALLED AND SAID,"COME INTO OUR OFFICE WE'LL FURNISH YOU WITH A NEW LINER,(THIS WAS LAST FALL OR BEGINNING OF WINTER) JUST COME IN AROUND FIRST OF SPRING." SPRING HAS COME AND SUMMER. THEY ARE FULL OF CRAP.I STILL CAN'T ENJOY THE POOL I'M STILL PAYING FOR. I AM THINKING OF SEEKING LEGAL HELP.I WOULD'NT RECOMMEND ANYONE PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM REC WAREHOUSE.

Liner Warranty and what is usually covered

In your complaint you do not tell us what the problem with the liner is? is it a hole? Ripped? or what??? Liners are covered under manufacture warranty but holes, rips or grass growth are not a covered items. Maybe this is why it is not covered under any warranties. Did  you have it installed by the stores installer? or did you do this your self? Most installers only have a 90 day labor warranty and then you have to pay a service call. The liner is only covered at 100% for the 1st year then prorated and like i said only covers seams and not any of the above items. If they pool liner was such a problem why did you wait so long to report it and why did you wait so long to contact the BBB???? just my opinion but sounds like you don't have a warranty issue!!! Do you not know where the leak is?? Here is a tip to find it yourself....This is from the swimlines website....

Q How can I find a leak in my liner?

A Take some food coloring and go to where you think there might be a leak, if so the food coloring will be drawn to it.
