Quicken Loans ripoff Livonia Michigan
I too was scammed by Quicken Loans. My story is the same as everyone elses. I contacted Quicken Loans to prequalify for a home loan and I was sworn to up and down that I was not going to be charged anything for this prequalification and I made it very clear that I wasnt interested in going through with it if there were going to be any fees or charges as a result of prequalifing.
I was asked for my credit card number (yes the red flag went off in my head) and was too told that I would only be charged if I decided to use Quicken Loans and that it would be later down the road for the appraisal fee. The next day 350 was charged to my credit card from Quicken Loans. I contacted them every other day for 3 weeks, email, voice messages, etc.
I finally received a credit to my card after weeks of attempting to get my money back and to top it off they only returned 338.27. I again tried to contact Quicken regarding them not returning the full amount that was charged and of course the guy that I had been dealing with is now on vacation for 3 weeks, how conveinant. I was then told that the 11 dollars was for the credit report. Funny considering they never mentioned to me that I would have to pay for my credit report. I finally just got fed up with trying to get anywhere with Quicken Loans and my credit card company finally just reimbursed my the 11 dollars and some change to avoid any further hassels.
