Pumppers Trust Company is training scam artists Sumter South Carolina
Last night I had two young people come to my door selling a cleaning product. When I answered the door, they pretty much forced their way inside to demonstrate what this product did. They were overly friendly and wiped some dirt off of my shoe to demonstrate the product's effectiveness. I told them if they could get the paint off of my car, I'd buy a bottle. The young lady insisted she could. After 15 minutes of scrubbing with no headway made, I told her she should stop because I didn't want to waste her time. It's a good thing she didn't happen to scratch the paint off because she told me the bottle was about $60. That's the most outlandish thing I've heard. I told her I couldn't afford that. For the next 10 minutes, she argued with me about why I should buy it and the kids it was helping. Essentially, I couldn't get her out of my apartment. I felt very uncomfortable and couldn't help feeling like I was being scammed. Plus, the product didn't seem to work any better than soap and water and good old-fashioned elbow grease. Please don't come to my door and try to scam me ever again. It's kind of insulting.
