Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My wife and I had downloaded an e-book with regards to starting an EBAY business. Several days later we received a call, stating that, due our interest int the e-book, we had been selected to enroll in a coaching program to assist us in developing a successful online business along with an effective e-commerce web site. In addition, they would use their extensive knowledge and marketing savvy to assist us in selecting a product niche and developing a customer base. The alarms began to go off in my head, however, we pressed on hoping that there was some truth to the program. Questions were asked regarding our personal situation, credit history, and goals. Successful stories were shared regarding other who had been through the program, along with web addresses for these "successful" individuals. To make a long story short, we were offered a professional 6 month coaching/mentoring program for $1500, plus $300 for assistance in building a website and a guaranteed hits program for $3,000. I pressed the salesperson for specific websites for some of the stories he provided, websites given were bogus and/r had no relation to their program. None of the websites provided were even hosted by the Usight hosting company. We pressed on...even with a bad sense about the whole thing. We were given the right to cancel our enrollment up to 3 days after our first "coaching session". They day came, we were very anxious to get going and had a lot of questions and high expectations. After our session of a whopping 23 minutes, we were left feeeling empty and had not learned anything new. We were directed to a few websites and told that throughout this mentoring progam, items may be mentioned that may cost more money that you'll probably want to have. For instance aquire the services of an accountant, if you don't have one I highly recommend a company called Tax Club. I questioned why would we need an accountant, we haven't made a dime? Again, we were given some success stories about what others were doing, but no "curriculum" was provided as promised, we received nothing in the mail, no package except a sales reciept with no letterhead of company logo (it was something that was created with Excel or Word). It just appeared bogus, a scam and a ripoff. I am reporting this, so that others do not get taken by these folks, who misrepresent themselves and a coaching and development organization with a proven track record. We were provided nothing, learned nothing and were not assisted at all. We've excercised our right to cancel and have contacted our credit card company to dispute the charges. Do not get taked by these indivudals in hopes of building an online business. There are plenty of legitimate sources out there, be patient and do your homework.
