Merimac Capitol Forged Lease agreement Fortworth Texas
I am a small business owner in Hemet. I was approached by a sales distriuct manager from Apex Merchant services group which is a credit card processing company. We negotiated all the charges , and cost and agreed on terms and conditions . Now while choosing apex as a credit card processing company i decised to lease a check scaner equipment from them . The equipment was to be leased from Merimac capitor which is the associate company of Apex merchant. Since i wanted to buy the check scanner outright , Sales advisor told me to make the 20 dollar monthly payment till i pay for the machine which costed around 240 dollars.
I asked the sales advisor to write this condition on the lease agreement stating that cusomer will pay 20 dollars a month and will buy machine at 240 dollars and than 20 dollar payment will stop and i will own the equipment.Sales advisor wrote this on the agreement copy.
I called Merimac capitol after one month to buy the machine and pay the 240 dollars which i agreed upon but i was told that i had signed a non cancellable lease for 20 dolloars for 60 month and i have to pay around 1200 dollars if i want to buy the machine. I sent them the copy of lease agreement that me and sales advisor had written but they said they do not consider this agreement as they have a different lease agreement copy.on top of that i was told that i had confirmed the lease terms in a verfifiaction call. i tried to sort the matter and make them understand that the lease agreement documnet is forged by sales advisor but they are not willing to cooperate .
Now Merimac has put the amount in collections and are reporting it to my personal credit history and trying to presuurize me to pay them the money that i never owed them. I returned their quipment as is and even paid two installments but they want 2000 dollars or they will destroy my personal credit.
