Though apparently licensed; this company continually "trolls" for victims to ftake the bait and fall for it's "attempt to collect a debt" scam. If this company notifies you regarding an "outstanding debt" - do not give them any further opportunity to decieve, confuse or manipulate you . They are literally stealing money from people who want to keep a clean name and a clear conscience. *** THERE IS A CLAUSE/STATEMENT IN THEIR " ATTEMPT TO COLLECT A DEBT" NOTICE THAT SHOULD NOT BE OVERLOOKED- AND PROBABLY SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED. IF IGNORED, IT MAY LEND " CREDENCE" TO THEIR "EFFORTS TO COLLECT ON A DEBT" - EVEN IF NO DEBT EXISTS. *The following statement is copied exactly as it appears in their notice. " Unless you notify this office within 30 days after recieving this notice that you dispute the validity of the debt or any portion thereof, this office will assume this debt to be valid." THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HAS A VERY LONG LIST OF COMPLAINTS FILED AGAINST THIS COMPANY REGARDING IT'S PRACTICES AND OPERATIONS. OVERWHELMING NUMBERS OF JUSTIFIABLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS COMPANY LEAD THE B.B.B. TO LABEL THIS COMPANY AS " UNSATISFACTORY". BBB REPORTS RE THIS COMPANY CAN BE FOUND AT: http://chicago.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=46&bbb=0654&firm=12020776 THESE ARE CRIMINALS OF THE WORST KIND. THEY APPARENTLY ARE LICENSED TO STEAL! BEWARE OF MERCHANTS' CREDIT GUIDE CO. !!! **PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR MONEY FROM THESE CROOKS!!** UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES REVEAL YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OR ANY CREDIT CARD OR BANK ACCOUNT #'S TO THIS COMPANY. DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS "ATTEMPT TO COLLECT" SCAM. They sent a collection notice to me demanding over $5,000.00 to satisfy a debt that does not exist. People actually fall for this scam and pay monies on "debts" they have no records of , and/or don't remember incurring. Apparently it is not illegal to advise someone that they owe you money and accept "payment" from them. Also apparent is that some people are not only cooperative, but actually willing to be victims of this scheme, as they do not contest the "debt" claimed against them. As for me.....my momma didn't raise a fool. I am not "victim" material !!
