I didn't know how to reply the first time, that's why I filed a whole new report. I came across some helpful info. yesterday while working on this matter. I called the land bank and left a message for someone to call me back about the property. Of course they didn't call, but I called again later, and got the exact person I wanted to talk to, answering the phone! His name is Aaron and is one of the more "honest" people to work with there. He is the one who sold us our piece of property. I explained how our coach lied to us about the homeowners fees and taxes, and he said that he would have never done that, and sounded pretty purturbed that someone lied to us. I told him about speaking to the woman at the Pocono Springs, and that she had done title transfers back to John Beck, so I asked him to tell me how to do that. If you are wanting to return a parcel you bought from the land bank, you email [email protected] Attn. Erica Brutocao-Kemp with your request and reasoning. Also, fax any copies of bills to do with your property to (818) 464-1601, to "help" her get back to you quicker. She should get back to you with an attachment of a reverse Special deed, with the names reversed, you selling it back to John Beck. They'll be instructions on what to do with it in the email also. Make sure you place a note in the envelope and email her that you will not accept handling fees being taken out of you refund! Next, I talked to Ao Pauga in Utah. I had already filed my complaint, so I was calling to update it with these recent occurances. He gave me Karen Johnson's direct line which is (818) 464-1671. She is the head of the resolution dept. that was created after John Beck was taken to court some time ago. Ao said that in the settlement, they agreed that he would refer people to her first, to try and get their refund, and if the situation was still not resolved, to then call Ao back and continue filing the complaint. Ao said to be tough and not let them give you any less than what you paid, so I was prepared for that, but thanks for the tip on recording my conversation with her. I left her voicemail yesterday (04/25). I'm going to keep calling her til I get ahold of her!

Amanda. How to get a full refund from Mentoring of America step by step. First, you accidentally made a whole new complaint page instead of simply replying to your original one. Now, since you are well past your 3 days to cancel, and even past your new 90 day window to cancel that you get when MOA does not tell you about the 3 day right to cancel, you must use other methods against them to get your money back. You must prove fraud by gathering proof and documentation. Mentoring of America will always find it easier to just give you back your money, than to face even more heavy fines and lawsuits by Utah as a result of more complaints. Remember that I and some of other people I have guided to their money back got full 100% refunds years after being cheated once we knew what to do. So it does not matter how long ago it was. You can still get a refund with my advice. Read and do every step below if you want your money back. HOW TO GET A FULL 100% REFUND STEP BY STEP: If you do everything I suggest below, don't skip steps, and keep me updated and not just vanish on me like some people have done, you will get your money back. So don't leave any steps out, and don't just disappear on me without keeping me updated on the situation or I can't help you. Find out if the state of Oregon allows you to tape record telephone calls without having to let the other person know it's being taped. If you can, then go ahead and get a tape recorder for your phone. Now call back that sleaze bag at Mentoring of America who told you those lies about the parcel you bought from their land website. Just ask again what you have already asked them, this way they repeat the lies to you once again, and you then get them documented and recorded on solid audio tape. Don't give this person any hint of what you are doing, just act natural and normal and don't mention anything about a refund. Always get the person to tell your their full name and ask for the date so that they repeat that back to you and gets documented on the audio tape also. 2. TAPE RECORD THE STATEMENTS FROM THE POCONO SPRINGS PERSON: Now call back that person who lives in the Pocono's Springs area where the lot you bought is located. Let this person know what's going on and that you would like to audio tape record him/her to build solid evidence against Mentoring of America for your money back. Ask the person to tell you more about those other people she/he has mentioned are in your same situation from buying other lots in the same neighborhood, because of Mentoring of America. Go ask her to look at your parcel, and tell you if your's is buildable or not. The more info you can get about yours and the other MOA customers, the better. Record this statement on audio tape. 3. GATHER YOUR PARCEL'S PAPERWORK: Now gather up all your paperwork in which it shows you got left with $700 of unpaid delinquent taxes that you were told by Mentoring of America were paid and current prior to buying it off their land website. As well as any other unpaid liens, fines, discrepancies, or surprises you found out about. Tell them about how little similar lost are selling elsewhere like Ebay and Bid4assets. That if you were to sell, you would sell at a loss and not at 150% price of what you paid like they had told you. Try to catch that statement of $150 on tape also. 4. What you want to do is highlight the price that each person has paid to prove that Mentoring of America charges completely different prices based simply on people's available cash or credit lines, for the same exact John Beck coaching program that consists of a few software Cd's in the mail, and 10 half hour coaching calls. There are no "Scholarships" there. That is a word they use only as an excuses to lower their price and make any sale rather than no sale. 6. PRINT OUT THE CONFESSIONS AND STATEMENTS BY FORMER EMPLOYEES OF MENTORING OF AMERICA: Print out the statements of people who used to work there who admit that Mentoring of America is a scheme deliberately taking advantage of the consumer and ripping people off. MENTORING OF AMERICA FAILED TO INFORM YOU OF YOUR 3 DAY RIGHT TO CANCEL: Even though you are past 90 days already, you still want to make it known to the authorities that Mentoring of America has once again violated the UTAH TELEPHONE FRAUD PREVENTION ACT by failing to tell you back in January that you had 3 days to call back, cancel, and get a full refund. The same month they got fined another $25,000.00 by the Utah Division of Consumer Protection for doing exactly what they did to you. 8. MENTORING OF AMERICA FINED $25,000.00 BY THE STATE OF UTAH IN 2007, PAID BACK $393,315.29 IN REFUND TO CUSTOMERS IN 2006, AND ORDERED TO COMPLY WITH UTAH LAW: Just recently in January 2007, Mentoring of America got fined $25,000.00 by the Utah Division of Consumer Protection. They were also ordered to work with the Division in resolving customer complaints, honor the 3 day right to cancel, and comply with Utah statute, including the UTAH TELEPHONE FRAUD PREVENTION ACT, which says that Mentoring of America MUST tell you that you have 3 days to call back and cancel the program for a full refund, and then HONOR the request and issue a full refund. In 2006, Mentoring of America had to pay back in refunds back to customers, and got sued by the Utah Division of Consumer Protection on top of that. She lies through her teeth and likes to bully and intimidate my people into accepting only a partial refund, and letting her keep hundreds and sometimes thousands of your dollars for a fake and non existing processing, shipping, and administrative fee. If you catch this b***h on tape saying anything like this to you, send the tapes to Utah Investigator Ao Pauga at the Utah Division of Consumer Protection. Karen Johnson is MOA's main customer service rep who does the refunds. Call her at the above number, and let her know that you want your money back for the program and for the parcel they sold you. Do not let anyone try to tell you that there is no KAREN JOHNSON there, that they don't know who she is, or that shed does not work there. Let KAREN JOHNSON know that you have gathered all of the above evidence against their company, and that if she does not give you a full refund and buy back that parcel, you submit all your evidence to Utah Investigator Ao Pauga Tell her that if she does not issue you a full refund of $5,410 and buy back that $2,695 parcel , that you will immediately submit all of it to Utah Investigator Ao Pauga and she can then again deal with the Utah Division and get fined yet again. Let KAREN JOHNSON know that you have all of the following in summary: That you have tape recorded conversations with some of their employees (give her their names) of fraud, lies, and deceit from their company. That the parcel they sold you for $2,695 carried unpaid taxes of $700 of which they lied about and told you were all paid off and current. Tell her any other discrepancies about the parcel. That you have the parcel's paperwork associated to prove it. That you have a verbal tape recorded conversation from a person who lives in the Pocono Springs neighborhood validating your claims who has personally seen your parcel and that of other people Mentoring of America has sold parcels of that same neighborhood to as well. That you have seen a news report video about the lawsuits filed against Mentoring of America in Utah last year, that also mentions other people who bought their land and then could not get rid of it. That you know all about the fines and lawsuits filed by Utah against Mentoring of America that go as far back as Oct. 2004, and most recently January 10, 2007. That you have in your possession countless complaints against John Beck/ Mentoring of America about this same John Beck coaching program of 10 half hour calls. That you are fully aware of the 393 consumer complaints filed against Mentoring of America alone with the BBB That you have highlighted all the different prices each person has paid, and that you will prove to the Utah Division and investigator Ao Pauga that Mentoring of America deliberately charges each person a completely different price between $1,500 to $15,000 for the same exact John Beck coaching program, simply based on people's credit limits or available money which they probe and determine with hard core sales tactics. That you have in your possession numerous confessions and statements from several former employees of Mentoring of America that further prove their fraudulent business practices. That Mentoring of America once again violated Utah consumer statute and the Utah Telephone Fraud Prevention Act by not telling you in January that you had a 3 day right to cancel. That you know about the $25,000.00 fine Mentoring of America was given by the Utah Division that same month and for that same reason!
