I happened to be in the area on Memorial Day and since I had time on my hands I decided to go by this store 'again' as I really needed to get some trees put in while I had the time to do it. I went back to the same display of trees that I wrote about above. No 35% off signs this time but the trees that were 2 days ago $18.77 now had a sign on them for $14.??. I got the attention of an employee and asked exactly what the price of these trees were and explained that I had been really annoyed before when taking trees to the register to be charged the wrong price. Were the trees really going to be $14 and change each if I went to the register with them? He took off the tag with bar code and went up to the register. A few minutes later he came back with the info that the Maple trees were NOT $18, or $14 (which they were marked) but were $9.66 each! So I did purchase 2 of them but as you can see from my experience at Lowe's they have absolutely NO clue as to how to run a store. You can NOT rely on their pricing, it is all over the place, it's a real crap shoot as to what you will be charged at the register as you can't depend on the posted prices.
