My husband and I put our timeshare in the Philippines for sale. Found a realtor online Leonore Dalmacio who claimed she had an immediate buyer. We talked on Skype. She was in the U.S. so I felt comfortable. She send us a contract and we needed to send her “broker” in Manila Emilia Marciano $900 for closing costs. Then the bank wire failed we didn’t know why at the time. Leonore asked me if I had someone in the U.S. near New Jersey to meet her with the money. I arranged for my nephew to meet with her. She didn’t accept a check and took $1050 in cash $900 for the closing costs and $150 for notarizing documents. She claimed to be a notary. She gave my nephew a signed contract and a receipt for services.
As soon as they received the $1050 all communication stopped with Dalmacio and Marciano. They never returned phone calls, emails. Needless to say we were already in financial trouble and now out $1050. We assumed the property never closed but when I contacted the timeshare company RCI the informed me that I had actually sold the timeshare. We attempted to request the transaction details but they asked us to request it through official legal channels since we were claiming fraud. We couldn’t afford a lawyer.
I worked with my bank and they informed me that the $900 wire we attempted to send Emilia Marciano was flagged by the receiving bank for fraud. Too late.
All this took place early June 2017. We were exploited by a con artist. It is May 2018 now and we have not received proceeds or refund. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and still no luck because the Lenhdita LLC company in the U.S. is a fake company. It was all a lie.
And there she is Leonore Dalmacio laughing in her pictures. I recognize her from Skype.
