Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Back in January of 1999, I was getting these automatic withdrawals out of my checking account. When I went to my bank to check it out, the teller couldn't tell me who it was coming from. The listing was anonymous. So, I payed the $15 dollars to have it stopped.

A few months later, I received a notice to appear in court in Waltham, Massachussetts. I am a student in Missouri with limited time and money, therefore, I tried to contact the company about the situation. They told me that they leased to me a credit card machine. What the heck would a student need a credit card machine for? I told them that obviously it was a fake because I never authorized this.

The guy was being a real jerk and told me that I still owed the money (it's about $1300 dollars) I called the attorney general for advice and he sent me a forgery affadavit. I filled it out and sent it to Leasecomm, but they did not care. I lost my case because I was unable to appear in court, so they continued to hound me. They started threatening that they would take money out of my bank account. I had to close it.

After a year or so of harassment, I finally contacted their lawyer. I agreed with her that I would pay $850 dollars to get them off my back and thats it (the copy of the lease agreement that I received stated that the charges were $19.95 a month for 3 years. That comes out to $718.20. With taxes, I figured $850 would be enough). She agreed to $964 dollars or so. So I bit the bullet and said fine.

I payed them promptly. I few weeks later, my payment was returned. I also got a letter saying, "Why haven't you paid us yet?" I am so angry, and this is on my credit report. Because of this blemish on my credit report, I have to pay an extra $6,000 dollars on a new car that I bought because the interest is so high. What gives? I tried to pay them, and they rejected the payment!!!!

If this place sent back your payment, then the debt is considerd PAID, that's why most places will take anything you send because they know this(I had this happen to me,they sent my payment back because it wasn't big enough, called the place and asked them if they were refusing payment, they said that it was the amount that they were refusing DUH!! Talked to an attorney and that's what he told me. Never sent another payment nothing ever happend GOOD LUCK!!
