On October 16, 1999 Kathleen S. Humphries residing at 2500 Leslie Avenue Alexandria, Virginia 22301 in the Del-Ray section of the City of Alexandria fell while walking down her basement steps and broke her hip and shattered her elbow. She was a very independent senior citizen living alone.

She spent several days in the hospital and had a hip replacement and was then transferred to a rehab center to get better.

Her granddaughter Laura Anne Fasick along with her husband Thomas Patterson and four children who lived rent free was currently residing with her mother Ann C. Anderson at 2604 Boswell avenue Alexandria Virginia used that opportunity to move to her grandmothers house and was to care for her until she got better enough to be independent again. During the course of several years it was found that Kathleen Humphries health was declining and she was diagnosed by her doctor Steve Yang who had been treating since 1993 with Senile Dementia, Hypertension, and Osteoporosis he stated that her prognosis overall is fair and limited given her advanced age that her dementia is permanent and that she needs a guardian/conservator to care for her.

Laura Fasick took advantage of her grandmother by ringing up large telephone and credit card bills with her grandmothers name on them.

Laura Fasick and Thomas Patterson and theyre four kids lived with Lauras grandmother rent free.

On January 2, 2001 Kathleen Humphries received a notice from Fleet Credit card services that her credit balance had exceeded her limit with an outstanding balance due of $5,800.00

Laura Fasick had full access to her grandmothers bank accounts.

Laura Fasick and her husband Thomas Patterson has had a long history of failing to pay bills.

11-13-2000 over due bill for $3,762.00 MVO Association

11-26-2000 over due bill for $485.00 Cross Country Bank

05-07-2003 over due bill for 12,250.00 Commonwealth of VA.

For intentional violation of food stamps program.

And that is just a brief list of the known over due bills that Laura Fasick and Thomas Patterson have failed to pay.

On December 10, 2002

Kathleen Humphries granted a power of attorney to her daughter Ann C. Anderson and also to her granddaughter Laura Patterson-Fasick.

Laura Patterson-Fasick and Ann C.Anderson took Kathleen Humphries to have her will changed leaving her entire estate to both of them.

The will was changed while Kathleen Humphries was not of sound mind as she suffered from Senile Dementia, Hypertension and Osteoporosis Kathleen Humphries did not possess testamentary capacity to make and execute a valid will.

IN June of 2002 Ann C. Anderson from Alexandria Virginia went into the hospital for further tests on her heart it was found that she had 95% blockage and was informed she needed to have by-pass surgery while in the hospital her daughter maiden name of Laura Anne Fasick married full name Laura Anne Patterson Fasick took it upon herself to withdraw monies from her mothers bank account.

One December 18, 2003 Ann C.Anderson died after being in a coma for months from her heart surgery. Thus leaving Laura Fasick-Patterson in full control over her grandmothers banking and credit cards.

On April 2004 after an investigation it was found that Kathleen Humphries was not being properly cared for by Laura Fasick-Patterson several complaints were filed with the City of Alexandria Senior services due to the concern of Kathleen Humphries well being and health care provided by Laura Fasick.

Several checks by City investigators found that Kathleen Humphries was suffering from mal nutrition and found her bed to be wet and stained with human feces and urine and that she appeared dirty and not she had not been bathed for sometime. The city investigators also reported that while visiting Kathleen Humphries they found her house to be in total shambles.

They took note that Kathleen Humphries appeared vaguely aware of theyre presence and did not respond verbally and when she did respond her vocalizations were unintelligible they also noted that she appears to be very hearing-impaired as Laura Patterson-Fasick said she was hard of hearing.

The City of Alexandria Code Enforcement officials were called in and discovered that Kathleen Humphries house was in substantial disrepair, and unclean condition. Code Enforcement officials discovered that the downstairs area was used for a bedroom, notwithstanding insufficient means of exit (only one way out)

In the case of a fire. Code Enforcement reported that the house had recently sustained fire damage to the upstairs area.

The City of Alexandria and Circuit Court ordered that the court now has proper jurisdiction to order that Kathleen Humphries have Attorney Gary Jeter appointed Guardian AD LITEM.

On 12-23-2003 and on 4-1-2004 Kathleen Humphries Physician evaluations by Steve Yang were corroborated by the observations and investigation.

Kathleen Humphries cannot adequately care for herself or make reasonable medical decisions.

On April 2004 Attorney Ken Labowitz stated from his findings and investigations that Kathleen Humphries Real Estate taxes for her residence are in arrears since 2001 and the over due taxes presently total $10,610.00 which Laura Fasick-Patterson was suppose to be paying with funds from Kathleen Humphries but neglected to do so.

Kathleen Humphries received a monthly check from her retirement and social security totaling more then $2,215.00 every month and from investigations it was found that Mrs. Humphries had a golden credit rating and always paid her bills on time and never used her credit cards unless it was an emergency. She maintained several bank accounts with large balances she was never one to spend money wildly.

During the time Laura Patterson-Fasick was caring for her Grandmother Mrs. Humphries credit, Bank Accounts and Safe deposit box was depleted of all funds leaving less then $200.00 in Mrs. Humphries accounts.

On March 23, 2005 Mrs. Kathleen S. Humphries passed away at her residence.

So where did all the money go? It appears that while Laura Fasick-Patterson Was suppose to be caring for Mrs.Humphries she took full advantage of her assets and while living rent-free in Mrs.Humphries house Laura Fasick-Patterson and her husband Thomas and theyre children Branndy, Zack, Corie and loraine trashed her house in such disrepair leaving junk and trash thru-out the house and property causing the neighbors to call the City of Alexandria code enforcement to complain of the mess.

Laura Fasick-Patterson was the executrix of the her grandmothers estate and as of writing this notice June 2006 She has still negelected to purchase a tombstone for Mrs.Humphries gravesite located at National Memorial Park in Fairfax County Virginia.

Soon after Mrs.Humphries passed away Laura Fasick-Patterson and her family moved to Dale City, Virginia renting a house at 4907 Lombard Lane Woodbridge, Virginia 22193.

Laura Fasick-Patterson put her grandmothers house up for sale on March 14, 2006 asking $569,990 due to the massive damage Laura her husband and children caused to the house while living in it the house was being sold well below market price as most houses in that neighbor similar to Mrs.Humphries were selling between $700,000 & $800,000. Mrs.Humphries house sold for a mere $569,990.

Mrs.Humphries only living son John C. Humphries who resides in Elmira, New York and Laura ann fasick-Patterson settled on an agreement to split the proceeds from the sale of the Mrs.Humphries house leaving Mrs.Humphries two other grandchildren out of the sale. Curtis Fasick & Lawrence Fasick were never properly served with process papers so they had no reason to believe that they were being left out from the estate.

During the entire year John C. Humphries the son of Mrs.Humphries who resides at 405 Euclid Avenue Elmira, New York 14905 informed Curtis & Lawrence that the three would be working together to file suit in the courts against Laura Fasick-Patterson to protect theyre interest in the Estate.

Mr. John C. Humphries is a liar and a betrayer this from a man who retired as a Episcopal minister in Elmira New York.

Curtis & Lawrence had discussions with Mr.Humphries thru-out the year and he reassured them both that the lawyer he had hired was working for all three of them on the case against Laura.

Curtis & Lawrence Fasick were deceived by John C. Humphries and Laura Fasick-Patterson and now have been left out of the estate of theyre grandmother.

Mrs.Humphries wishes would of never been to leave Curtis or Lawrence out of her estate she was a very loving caring grandmother and she will never rest in peace because her wishes were never carried out and the handling of her estate and the poor care Laura Fasick-Patterson provided to her grandmother over the years was very poor and the improper handling of her funds and the way Laura Fasick-Patterson took full advantage to deplete and abuse her own grandmother during a time when family should come together to help she did not she was only looking out for her self being selfish and very deceitful.

So warning to everyone who comes in contact with Laura ann Fasick-Patterson

Who currently resides at 4907 Lombard Lane Woodbridge, Virginia 22193

Be fair warned that she will con and mislead you in anyway possible avoid her and do not lend her money or credit.
