Land Rover of Las Vegas LRLV Land Rover of Las Vegas lied about extended warranty -SCAM IN LAS VEGAS! Las Vegas, Nevada
I purchased a 2003 BMW 745Li from Land Rover of Las Vegas in March of 2009. The salesman was Richard who worked in the internet sales department. He assured me that the vehicle had the remainder of BMW's 7-year/100,000 mile warranty. In fact, the day I was originally supposed to pick up the vehicle he told me that they took the car to BMW to have a couple of things repaired. Finally 3 days later I took delivery of the vehicle after it was brought back to their lot from Desert BMW.
A couple of months later I started having problems with the vehicle. It had a loping unstable idle and started shifting hard, causing the whole car to jerk when downshifting intermittently. I made an appointment with BMW to have the vehicle serviced and checked out. That day I found out that the warranty expired im March, the same month I purchased the car. Needless to say, I was very upset. I contacted Land Rover of Las Vegas, where I was told that they only offer a 30 day basic warranty on all of their used cars. I asked to speak to the sales manager, but they just blew me off. They said that there's nothing they can do, and there's nothing I can do either. They told me that if I return the vehicle, it's going to go against my credit and it's not their problem. When I confronted Richard the salesman about his lies, he said he made a mistake, he thought that it would be under warranty.
This is another example of how used car dealers take advantage of consumers. Me as a woman don't know much about cars, it was a birthday gift to my husband. Do not buy a car from Land Rover of Las Vegas, they will rip you off! They lied to me about the warranty and they will do it again to others.

They ripped me off too. Don't buy any used cars from them. They will lie to you until you pick a car. They will promise you free services, extended warranty, free oil change and they will tell you that the car had one owner who took excellent care of the vehicle. I bought a MB S500 there last year and they didn't even give me the carfax. Turns out it's had 3 owners including a lease in the beginning. Also, it's been involved in an accident, which they failed to mention. The car pulls to the right now and it will cost me over $5,000 to have it fixxed. Land Rover of las Vegas' response it that they weren't aware of that and my warranty was only good for 1 month all of a sudden. Total ripoff. Once you had signed the dotted line, you are f**ked. DO NOT BUY A CAR AT LAND ROVER LAS VEGAS. TOTAL RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
