Krowdster Inc. Misrepresented their services. Pretty much a scam. Los Angeles California
Like many crowdfunding campaign owners I was researching how to find and target backers when I learned about Krowdster. They make all sorts of promises in their ads. "#1 Crowdfunding Marketing and PR Software. Everything you need to promote your crowdfunding campaign." Their Services include: A backer Directory, Twitter Advertising, Media lists, Press Relase services etc.
Lets breakdown why these services a mediocre at best one by one. The backer directory is not one where you gets emails. It is a directory intended to market to previous backers on facebook and twitter. I downloaded the directory and tried to upload it into my twitter and facebook ads campaigns to create an audience. NO LUCK. It doens't work, I follwed the instructions provided as well and tried several times. You WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CREATE AN AUDIENCE BASED ON THEIR CSV FILE. You want help from them? Forget about it. All they do is patronize you and ask you to read the instructions again. Waste of time.
Twitter account promotion is done via automation. The twitter account promotion only yielded more bots to my twitter page. A bunch of unrelated bots and junk. It will ruin your business twitter account. Don't do it. It takes months to clean up your twitter account afterwards.
Media Lists. Their media lists are OUTDATED moreover if you contact the journlists on that list they will send you an angry response telling you not to contact them about a press release or that they don't work for the place listed. It will embaress you and is a waste of time!
Press Release another waste of time and money. Honestly you could purchase the press release services on Fiverr and get better results for around $40.
The facebook ad/crowdfunding courses are somewhat useful however its nothing that you cant get from the free facebook blueprint ads training or reading the support pages on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.
In sum, don't get taken for a ride like I did and lose nearly $1000. Don't believe the hype.
