I hired Yoder Construction to have a room addition added to my house.

Yoder Construction failed to have required building code inspections done on the stucco exterior finish of my home. The flashing that was installed at the base of the stucco before transitioning to brick, had negative pitch back the the house, not away from the house. Flashing was installed to cover the ungerground electrical PVC going into my house, and leaving part of the house wood exterior exposed to the elements.

Failed to have footing inspections competed for the back porch for the new room. Failed to install flashiing where the new porch joined to the house causing water to leak unter the door threshold into the room. Used interior cabinet screws to fasten the joist hangers to the porch frame. the staircase steps where the wrong height and depth and no handrail was installed.

The brick work that was done was in violation of building code, by putting broken bricks together to make a single brick. The mortar joints where the room addition the old part of the house where over 1 inch wide, and was a building code violation. No lintel was placed over the egress window and the bricks where place directly on top of the window frame. No membrane was install to cover the waterproofing membrane that was installed on the basement wall, water leaks between the membrane and the exterior basement wall.

Failed to have the second story electrical inspection completed before the insluation and drywall was installed.

The Egress window that was installed had the wrong safety glass, due to the egress window being close a staircase for exit in case of emergency.

When the old roof was replaced with a new roof, no starter strip was put down before the new shingles were installed, and in places the felt paper is visible because the shingles to not met in some places.
