Complaint Review: Invent-Tech - Coral Gables Florida

I just recently got ripped off buying a sick puppy. While I was searching the web for the BBB I found this site. WOW it calmed me down. I filed a report on PETLAND. I continued to look through other peoples complaints and found one on Invent-Tech. I myself feel victim to them.

It was 1 year ago that I to called the number on the T.V. I spoke with "Mark Gregory". He convinced me that they only select maybe 1 out of every 500 and I was the lucky one. He was a very "Smooth talker". He told me what a great idea I had and that I only needed to submitt a check for $1,000.00. Well of course I'm just a middle class American and that was a lot for me. However I had been in banking for over 15 years and I too could be a smooth talker. I got him down to $657.00. He convinced me, as everyone wants to hear how great they are and that there going to make alot of money!

As with sales, Mark looked for my weak point and went for the attack. "MONEY". He told me I would have no problem making money off my idea, and as long as he had been there my idea was the best he had seen. Mark stated they were a reputable company and he wouls send me a package that would show just how great they were.

I received the package, and admit it looked professional. There was a big book with all kinds of pictures with them at conventions, a CD explaining the process and of course a contract to sign. The only thing all this information left out is that the $657.00 was just the beginning. I have very good ears and I wrote down everything he said, as my money is important to me and I wanted to know the "whole" process, as I am a Scorpio.

NEVER once did Mark ever mention anything about more money. He made it sound like that was it. He even agreed it was alot, but "O" what I would get in return. He was very nice and seductive. He even laughed at my jokes. Like the other stories listed in your site, Mark called me all day every day to send out that check.

Once he got the check I didn't hear from him for a while. I rceived this 3 ring binder folder with about 100 pages of crap, including a professional picture (part of what I was paying for) that looked like a third grader drew it! There was nothing in that book that was important or that a detailed the process. It mostly went on about Invent-tech and bragged about all these people that got rich with their inventions.

I too asked for references, but of course that was confidential, as he stated you wouldn't want strangers calling you, would you?

The final call I recieved from MARK GREGORY was asking for $10,000.00 and went down to $8,000.00. Now I know from being in financing that the Federal Guidlines state that a company cannot charge a different price for the same service to each individual customer. Federal guidelines override state guidelines. Invent-Tech clearly goes after what they feel they can get out of the person they talk to.

I feel I was lied to and taken advantage of. I was NEVER told there would be any other charges other than the $657.00. And YES I asked! Mark stated "NO", than quickly changed the conversation by saying "O, wait till you see what I'm sending you".

I never heard from Mark again and he never returned my calls. THIS IS A SCAM!! Maybe they do submitt your invention for $10K-20K, but he was never upfront and lead me on. This is Fraud and it should be stopped and we should be reimbursed. I did send a certified letter asking for my money back. I received a responce that simply said "Look at your contract I sent you", "it sates you have seven days to cancel."

Seven days from what? There were no dates on any of the letters or documents sent. Also it took a 10 days to reach me, I have the envelope!! SCAMMERS
