I was charged over $11300 for the body work and repairs on my truck.  6 days after picking it up two of my hubcaps were already missing.  The next day I called Rigo at the body shop and explained that the two hubcaps were missing, and I didn't know if they had just fallen off or were stolen.

I asked Rigo if I could exchange these wheels for some that didn't have hubcaps or had some sort of locking hubcap.  I also explained that I would be willing to pay any additional costs that were necessary to help resolve this issue.

Immediately Rigo angrily said that his company didn't do that and he doesn't know of any company that does do that.  I told him that he sold me those wheels and then he told me that no those wheels were on there when I brought the truck in.

This conversation made me very angry.  I simply could not believe that after I had paid them so much money and was really willing to do more business with them so I went down there and let rigo have it.  I was mad.

A day or two later I couldn't stand looking at my truck with two hubcaps on the wheels on one side and not on the other so I took them off.  After removing them I could see all kinds of corrosion and scratches.  Then by examining the inner parts of the wheels they looked so old and rusted that these probably are my old wheels.

So I pulled out my receipt and it says they charged me $700 for wheels and $543 for tires.  My wife called Stella the manager and told her about the damaged rims not to mention the hubcaps fall off every 6 days.  She simply asked if we could just bring them back and get refunded the money we paid for them.

Stella refused to refund us for the faulty rims we purchased.   Imperial body shop refuses to exchange the faulty rims, or refund us the money we paid.  And according to Rigo these are my original wheels anyway.  I have simply been ripped off.

Mr. B's 1999 Ford F150

#2UPDATE Employee ..inside information

Mon, October 28, 2013

On 08/05/2013 11a Mrs. B came in towing a 1999 Ford F150 from another Collision Repair Facility who refused service to this vehicle. She reguested complete estimate wanting to restore  the vehicle for her husband. Vehicle had sentimental value.

08/06/2013 Mrs. B approved estimate for $11,283.25 including all four used rims to replace old corroded rims. On 09/14/2013, Mrs. B came that Saturday to view and approve as it was explained use non-refundable wheels but exactly the same as what was on the F150. All communications was with Mrs. B.

On 09/27/2013 F150 complete picked up by a very happy Mr. B, this day was the only day we had any communications with Mr. B....All communications were with Mrs. B.

Six days later angry Mr. B calls he doesn't like his rims and hubcaps missing upset on the phone. Later on the day, Mr. B comes in office very angry. Production Manager promised to contact vendor if they will take the rims back. Next day we contacted vendor Capital Wheels who we purchased rims at $700.00 no mark up. Requested for Supervisor, Santiago, to reconsider returning even with restocking fee...they refused especially when Mrs. B had pre-approved before purchase and installation. Mrs. B called to apologize stating that her Husband did not take his meds.

Next day Mrs. B calls again requesting to have the rims and tires returned. Imperial Body Shop Owner called Capital Wheels and Tires - Supervisor, Vendor still refused to return wheels..Manager calls Mrs. B explained that vendor still refused return.

Wheels installed are not defective if so Capital Wheels would have returned them. Mr. B wanted new wheels and tires no longer related to completed approved repairs by Mrs. B. We apologize for Mr. B's unsatisfaction, but he should have been the one to have approved these wheels instead. Asking us to refund the cost of these wheel is not fair.
