I received a call from a Connecticut telephone number of 203-434-0838, congratulating me on registering with a company online that was one of their subsidaries. I was going to get $100.00 free gift card, a $40.00 cash back Gas Card, and a $25.00 American Express cash card. All I needed to do was give them my Debit or Credit Card and they would only charge $9.95 for shipping and processing. I asked if they had a website or an email and Joseph said that information would be in the packet I would receive in 5-7 business days. The reason I was getting the American Express Card was to re-imburse the $9.95 I had to pay for shipping and handling.

So this copany, Platium Rewards, contacted me today andi have started to notice that they call me quite frequently as I have noticed this numer once before, but I ot a call from a different numberr: #773-3628591. So I answered and low behold its the same company and I asked them if they remembered that my name was on a, "do not call list,".... nope. They commenced to saying that I am to recieve an award in the mail 5-7 business days with three gift cards but there was a catch... I had to pay for the shipping and handling. My immeditaae red flag thoughts were, "if they are sending me money, why do i need to pay money," but it got better. They said they needed to ask me a couple of questions, totally irrelevant to winning awqards:

1. Do you have any debt higher than $15,000? 2. Do you have have any type of house, car, federal, or school loan? 3. have you ever beena victim of theft or had any type ofidentystolen? 4. Do I have a dog or any type of pet? 5. is a funny one, Do you have an alarm system on your house??? then finally something of relevance to the whol reward 6. Have you sent more than $100 at these stores... by the way the questions were asked was as if someone was trying to get info. on how to break into my howse and steal my stuff. have a house? How about a dog? Anything about an alarm? I am strongly confident that this is a scam.
