BAIT and SWITCH ----- HOTEL POWER . COM IS A COMPLETE FRAUD....they are ripping people off and refuse to answer what their fees are ...they are showing low hotel prices and then tack on huge "fees" with the tax and will not explain what the "fees" are. Over an hour on the phone explaining that hotel tax in CA is not over $30.00 on an $86.00 room!! They kept putting me on hold for over an hour and could not get to a person who could explain the difference. Just another way for an over seas company to screw Americans out of money, claiming to be based in FL.

Could you please provide your reservation number and the best phone number to reach you so we may investigate your booking? Regarding taxes and fees, CA has a higher tax rate than other states. Taxes and fees are stated and disclaimed on the checkout page prior to booking and the customer reserves the right to place the booking once the grand total is displayed. OTA's are not required to display taxes and fees on search results however all OTA's are required to have taxes and services fees disclaimed at check out. HotelPower.com is a US based company with call centers who handle the calls all over the world much like Hotels.com, Expedia.com and Priceline.com.
