Hilton Garden Inn Overcharging credit card and rude and degrading customer care! Do not take children! Hoffman Estates Illinois
I was traveling for business for 5 weeks in a row Thurs-Saturday, I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children, lets start with the fact that upon entering into the hotel the loby and bar is all one space so it was full of intoxicated people. The first weekend I went to the desk was told "this is not a hotel for children" then was told I had to pay an extra $100 for "just in case" when I gave my credit card, the said they would not put anything on it just hold it for "just in case" this was my debit card and the did use it this caused an overdraft and I ended up paying $150.00 more than was told on price.
While there the room was a mess, beds were to bad, no extra blankets and the staff was so rude, tried to take the kids to the pool, they locked the doors, . Upon check out I questioned the cost the woman said"just pay it" rules are rules. I left so angry, I then was already booked for the next week and when I arrived, I paid by credit card and an entoxicated man ran up to my grandchildren, held my grandson who is 2 back and yelled at them, I was told by staff " this is not a kids hotel" I was charged for the stay day one, was there 2 days paid for breakfeast, and was told to "eat in my room due to kids"
this is a joke, I had to fight off intoxicated people again the evening. Then left, upon leaving I was 2 days later charged again I was doubble charged for the room, I contacted Hilton and the manager contacted me was very rude, offered to refund the 2nd stay nothing about the first, and said he refunded it, but nothing, he never paid a dime back, while at the stay I kept the card that says "The promise to do what ever it takes to make you happy or you don't pay what ever it takes" I was not only treated poorly I was ran down and yelled at never recieved any type of refund, even though fraud was commited on my cc.
