Hertz Rent A Car DECEPTIVE PRACTICES Denver Colorado
Picked up my "dream car" rental late at night only to find that it was full of trash from the previous renter. You would think that if one was renting a Land Rover that it would be in pristine condition. I've rented Rav 4's from "budget" rental car services that were in better condition. READ YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT AND RECORD YOUR MILEAGE UPON PICK UP AND DROP OFF!!!! I was never told that there would be a .75 fee for each mile past 525 miles. It's in the fine print, folks. Wouldn't be a big deal since my destination (round trip) mileage was only 400 miles. After checking my vehicle in, I was charged an additional $750 dollars for mileage. My receipt stated that the vehicle had 1824 miles, when in fact it had 2800 at time of pick up. I only drove a total of 543 miles, but Hertz stated that I drove 1518. I would like to think that it was an honest mistake, but after reading other negative reviews, I have a feeling that it wasn't. Kathryn Marinello, I feel that Hertz Rental Car at Denver International Airport uses deceptive practices with the intent to defraud their clients. I will NEVER use Hertz Rental for my rental car needs.
