Please note I tried to call and your support was unavailable and suggested emailing tech support but that was unavailable as well.

Today 12/4/13 5pm I called my local Harbor Freight store to solve a tech problem that I was unable to resolve.

I have 8” Central Machinery drill press.  The housing that holds the drill bit does not lock; it consistently drops off while drilling is in progress.  There is no visible way to lock it.

The attendant tried to help but eventually needed to speak to his manager for advise.  The manager advise him to forward the call to a number that was advising customers to email [email protected] .  I complied but the email address was not in service. Next I tried emailing [email protected] which did not work as well.  The address I used was correct because I copied it directly from web site.  I asked to speak to the manager and have been on hold for 20 minutes and counting.

The manager finally picked up but was unable to find a solution and offered a new number. They answered but I was placed immediately on hold waiting to speak with a tech.  The normal apologies were expressed till the last electronic voice came on and advised that I leave a number and they would get back to me.

I have no idea when they intend to call and for such a large firm of 40 years they don’t seem to understand how customer service must work for return business.  This is not the America I knew that took pride in their products and service.

During the busiest time of their year your going to complain that they are not at your beck and call. TOO FUNNY!!!! First, how long have you owned this item. If its past a year, what exactly do you expect them to do? And might I point out that YOU are not the ONLY customer they have to deal with. Expecting an immediate response to your issue is as assinine as it gets. YOU are only one person in a sea of people attempting to get ahold of them. All you can do is keep trying.

I will also point out that these people that you are talking with ARE NOT the engineers that designed the product you are having a issue about. To expect them to know EVERY SINGLE ITEM THEY SELL AND TO TROUBLESHOOT YOUR PROBLEM is rediculous. They are ONLY minimum wage employees who have a job to do.

Instead of using that energy bitching and complaining that they are not paying attention to you, perhaps you should do some research online. Obviously you can use a computer because you wasted time and energy to whine and complain. So direct that energy at SOLVING YOUR PROBLEM!!!!! There is an entire world of information online. The internet isnt for your dirty pictures anymore. They have actual information and support groups out there. You may even find OTHERS that have had your problem and they MAY have found a way to fix it. But you wont know until you look.
